Wendell and "the 8th pick" seemed to vastly outplay Vuc. And the Bulls won by 35 in Orlando. Crazy how that worked out, but hey I'll take having the vastly better team over the paper stats and "potential" hopes and dreams.

it happens. who knows if he doesn't get traded maybe the spark that led him to actually work his ass off this offseason never fires and he just continued to be a mediocre player. happy to be 13-7 and happy that Carter Jr has found some good form.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

The pacing of the games really slows down after tomorrow. The team still looks tired. Hopefully things start to improve in this regard.
Bulls are 2nd in the east right now but have to win tomorrow to keep it.
Winng by 35 and complaining.... Interesting approach.

Happy Coby didn't suck. Makes a big difference having another offensive player. With Coby, seems like we get one every third game.

Not sure what your reply had to do with my post. Mistake or just trying to cause trouble as always?

Holy **** I've seen a number of people complaining about complaining already. It's called offering different perspectives, not everything has to be positive.

What’s unfortunate is some of those posters, that’s really all they contribute. They just complain about others. They’re basically provide no meaningful value to the board. Imagine having thousands and thousands of posts, and you don’t provide any thought provoking discussion…They’ll comb through posts, try and find a word out of a hundred they think is wrong, and just hammer it. Best to ignore them, it works.

Re: PG:This Magic Moment
This is probably our identity going forward. Our guards (including Derozan in this, he handles the ball as much as a guard) will blitz the opposing guards on offense & defense but we will get embarrassed near the rim. Add Wendell to the list of bigs that pulverized the Bulls inside.
We'll probably cap out as a Very Good team, but I don't see us as an Elite team until we can defend the rim. Which is fine, I never expected the Bulls to contend. Goal this year is go make the playoffs.
You mentioned that Coby gets blocked a ton. This game he pulled up for some mid range and floaters and played a lot more effectively.
If the PGs all develop decent floater games the offense will be hard to stop.

I think a team of 13 Alex Caruso's could easily make it to the finals and no one will convince me otherwise.

My hope is when other guards see the Bulls on the schedule they cringe a bit. Gonna be a long night for them.

Vuc's 2nd game back from Covid. He really doesn't look the same.

Re: PG:This Magic Moment
Well, fortunately rim protectors are traded and waived for bags of Aldi’s off-brand potato chips, so I don’t think it’s a crux in this season’s contention plans. I just don’t know if Derozan and Vuc are good enough in May to take us past the 2nd rd. Really think it’s as simple as that. But if they play exceptionally well, it’s a different story.
Anyway, this team is fun to watch and good to see Coby light it up. If he can turn 1:5 good games into 1:2 or even 3, we’re in very good shape. Also good to see Wendell dominate Vuc but still lose in a blowout.

That is the clear and obvious thing we need to do serious damage in the playoffs. I am waiting till the post trade deadline bargain basement bigs to grab at some point.
The weird thing right now is that Tony Bradley is in the deep dog house even in games where we could use him. Even Alize gets no burn.
We basically look like the Rockets a few years back when they only big they had was Capella. I know you can get away with it if you have an elite level offense but we arent there yet.

Re: PG:This Magic Moment
A much needed blowout win after the last two losses. Treat it as a palette cleanser and win the game vs Miami tomorrow. The Heat will be the fresher team for sure, but hopefully they partied too hard and will need a second to shake off the hangover.
If we're blowing out a team, I prefer using the Warriors template: warm up and keep the game close by halftime, step on their throat in the third, and make them tap out and get guys much needed rest in the fourth.
Also, welcome back Coby! He played his role as a scorer perfectly tonight. He's obviously not gonna give us a 9-11 production every night, but that kind of attack mentality is pretty much what we need from him. Him being able to score like that makes the bench unit be less dependent on DeMar ISO and allows them to actually take/extend the lead.
Playing a 5-guard lineup is still insane tho - it's why DJJ fouled out in 10 minutes and it's not the first time either this season. I liked what they were able to do, but it's still crazy. That said, we still outrebounded the Magic by 11 and Orlando fielded some really tall players.
Lastly, that was top 3 Wendell Carter games I've ever seen. If he could shoot like that last season, I'm sure he would've been given a chance to play PF. Actually, who am I kidding? Billy Donovan is our coach so no, he probably won't.

It'll change the game for sure.
Basically forces the other team to never dribble or pass, or it's a turnover. So they're only allowed full court heaves all the time.
The final score will be something like 15-12 after 48 minutes.

It's not really an apples to apples comparison. WCJ wouldn't put up the same numbers on a team with Zach and DD. And part of the problem with WCJ is that he's injury prone- unfortunately, we'll likely see that side of him again. And lastly, just by having Vuc here, we became a more attractive destination.
Regardless, I'm happy to see Wendell having success!

uh...that's what selling low means. getting the least return because the player is at his lowest value when dealt
selling high, for example, is sam hinkie trading reigning ROY michael carter williams at the trade deadline in his 2nd season because he has regressed, getting a 1st rounder in exchange
