Because he gets lost on defense every single play

I need to watch it but it just seems like we are a significantly worse team than last year mostly do to play regression and our defense is crap. I honestly don't know what we can do to turn this around.

The tough answer is pull Kemba.

we know that aint happening. He didn't pull payton until thibs was getting exposed in the playoffs for playing him.

True, but we got a token benching, where Elf was starting but only playing 15 MPG.

We need to fast forward to that part, and basically make IQ a shadow starter

on most nights kemba/Fournier can't give you enough on offense to make up for there **** defense.

Knicks players keep saying stuff like this about other teams. Seems like shots fired on the slick. They gotta be lowkey saying their own team doesn’t. At least not for a sustained period.

Definitely taking a shot. It’s obvious there are issues with the players. Breen and Clyde point it out, we point it out, players themselves bring it up . It’s that obvious that nobody, except Randle, is sweeping it under the rug.

NYKat wrote:I think a positive to come from this game is the way the starters played for the first 12 minutes… Fournier was getting his shots in rhythm, Kemba looks a little better running the offense, Randle was not playing as much as iso-ball and Mitch was cleaning up everything…

We really missed D.Rose running the bench offense and Burks should never run the point over IQ (which Thibs did in the beginning— big fail)…

I think we just gotta extrapolate that first quarter into a full 48 minutes and with time and more experience playing together I think we can do that

Ever heard of this term before……It’s not how you start…..

I’ll let you finish the rest.

The reality is that the Knicks are in this situation because of Leon Rose, Perry, and Thibs. If they can’t somehow turn this around, they won’t last past this season.

Leon Rose knew the situation and if he didn’t study the history of the Knicks before than he’s up for a rude awakening.

So far I give him a C- with that horrible extension to Randle and free agent signing of Fournier aka Shannon Anderson.

Knowing the Knicks they’re going to make a horrible trade to add a longer contract and still keep Randle and Fournier.

We are seeing stats from Isiah “Zeke” Thomas days territory and that’s dangerous signs to come.

Obi had a rough game. A lot of Knicks did but I was specifically hoping he could provide a spark and he didn't.

Suns are really good. We were just outclassed.

I think we just need to accept the team will be average at best until a big trade happens. Might even be in the lottery and might be a couple years too. Temper expectations

I kinda see Randle trying, but the chemistry and BBall IQ from the starting unit just isnt there. Credit the Suns..they look every bit like top contenders for sure but....

For a bit we were evenly trading blows with them......and no Rose or Taj.

This team starting lineup reminds be of a lawnmower that is humming along then gets jammed up.

But I think we'll be ok. If not the weak spots on this team will be identified and can be moved in the long term.

I don’t think he is a bad guy per se. He is just the wrong player to attempt to build around and he has a playing style that isn’t conducive to team ball. So he gotta go if we have real contention goals.

well luckily the hawks have only won 6 straight instead of 15 for the suns. we should handle them easily.

Hovering at .500 is stressful for me. If we can’t go on a winning streak I’d rather we just go on a skid to force Thibs or may I dare say the FO (could backfire though) to make changes.

I'll spell it out. Kemba and Randle need to hash out how they're gonna play together and it might need to get heated. This pussyfooting around will get nowhere.

yep. they've started to roll after a real bad start. the only other team in the top 10 doing worse than us lately is philly and they dealt with covid taking a couple guys out. the knicks are either the 9th or 10th best team in the conference when it's all said and done. probably 10th because the celtics look slightly better right now. but we'll see.

they can't ask for us to temper expectations when they set the expectations last year. You simply need to improve on those expectations.

And as time passes and we aren't playing well our leverage for a "star" trade becomes less and less and our assets depreciate as time passes.
