The Rays have made much headway over the last 5 weeks in their march to 70 wins.
Holding a recent 46-76 record in late July, the Rays seemed more destined to lose 100 games instead of winning 70.
70 W's doesn't sound like much, but this number has only been reached once in their history.

Bad news is that the Rays lost 9 of the last 12.....minus some key people.
The good news is that the Rays get the #1 pick again next year.
A horrible July (7-21) and last 2 weeks (3-9) really skewed the final record.
This team is not far away from being pedestrian.
