This has been going on all the way back to two seasons ago when we signed him, personally if I was this consistently wrong about something I would show some humility and relax, but I guess just keep teeing off on the face of the franchise I guess that’s the treatment ewing and melo got as well, comes with the territory. Thankfully Randle will be here forever and retire a Knick :)

Where do you think you have any reason to call a good poster a homer? I think if you can't find any valid evidence to support your positions, you should not just call names.

If you're not certai you're coming across really badly, look how this board feels about BOTP.
And what he wrote about you is true.

Yeah you can never knock a guy who took less. Shows me he's serious about winning I'm just not sure he's capable being the #1 guy. He sets a good example also in taking less.

Could he be a #2 or #3 on a contender? Sure, in specific situations.. playing alongside someone who is more of a true alpha that is able to get the ball out of hands and put him in a position of strength.. the low block. Randle's main issue is always be his ability to lose composure at the end of games or when he's under pressure. The obvious solution is find someone who isn't and let Randle focus on his #1 strength.

yup, its now on Leon and WWW to find this team a legit #1 option so Randle doesn't have to be it. But his contract extension doesn't hurt us at all in terms of doing so. It actually helps because he isn't getting paid like a max guy.

Randle is not even #2 on a contender he will be trade bait for a star no team will ever win **** with Randle as their top 3 player just reality

Randle top 8 MVP voting
Top 6 DRTG
Most improved

but other than that agreed he stinks and you can’t win **** with him.

We would still be a 20-25 win team without Randle. But then again, you guys enjoy and miss all the losing.

Because they belueve the Knicks are trying to win a championship versus selling out the building every year. The year we tanked and our sellout streak ended 5hat was the end of rebuilding in NY.

Nah, I think they miss the 14% possibility of drafting that next Super Star, the dream of Frank becoming Gary Payton and they also miss the LOLKNICKS jokes.

Nope. Thank you for carrying the torch. It isn't a bad contract. He just needs to be demoted. This actually STAT all over again.

This thread has some defiant L's.

I’m never doubting them again!!!!!

sol537 wrote:GREAT off-season, man. Not a single bad deal. We retain cap flexibility, a solid talent base, and plenty of assets to put us "over the top" should a disgruntled star comes on the market.

I'm hoping Kemba can find his spark again and give us 17pts and 5 assists on good efficiency while finding a way not to be a total sieve on defense. I don't think Kemba is the long-term answer at PG due to his health and defensive concerns, but it's a good stepping stone, for sure. The rebuild marches on!

Then there's me in this thread.

We also get to watch some winning basketball for the next few years. Oh the humanity!

If I was 26 and had never seen winning Knicks basketball I might GAF! I don't want the Bobcats 2008, or the Magic or the 2010 Hawks. I want conference finals, finals and a title before I leave this Earth. This route is a gold stamped ticket to a round 1 exit.

Now I'm not sure if 75% of the post are folks trolling or really that morbid and overtly negative about everything we do

It's sad

I mean it’s okay if you don’t want to win a championship. Enjoy these wins I guess. We’ll always watch someone else holding up the trophy but at least we might get into the playoffs.

It'll be interesting to experience what being a Hornet / Magic fan feels like for a few years. If you look at the Hornets they finally got a clue, and traded Kemba instead of fooling themselves into thinking they were contending for anything. He was also "aLl-NbA" on a mediocre team and was looking for a max deal. A little older than Randle at 28 though. But below league average efficiency player like Randle. I'd say they waited a year or two too long but actually may have themselves a star if LaMelo continues his development. The Magic have utterly **** everything up and have a bunch of injured or bad players, but still through the power of tanking 'lucked' into Suggs.

He's the 15th most efficient player at his position, it's a bad contract.

He's greatly overpaid now. He should be getting what Fournier is getting and Fournier should be getting what Kemba is getting and Kemba should be donating his body to science

Randle haters and tank commanders are seriously taking victory laps 20 games into the season?

That’s gotta be some kind of record

Randle playing like he had sex the night before and just before games start... for a guy who dedicated his summer in gyms to improve his game, he sure hasn't shown the desire to match up with his skills. He fooled me for sure with his workout videos, he's like one of those guys content with contract signed and done, and don't even realise they're playing without heart.

No...what they are hoping to happen is for the Knicks to fail so they can be right.

We're mostly hoping for a commitment to try to win a title. Committing to Evan Fornier, Randle and having celebrations for signing Kemba's one good knee aren't a path to a title. I do get younger fans who never watched us in the finals just wanting the 2004 Bobcats or the 2010 Magic, getting to the playoffs seems like 'a step'. For me just getting whacked in the 1st or 2nd round with no top 20 player on the roster and none in sight is a waste of a season. But I understand the other perspective.
