I think majority of the fanbase wouldn't mind a starting 5 of IQ, Grimes, Knox, Obi and Sims. At least they would be fun to watch and easy to root for. The players getting minutes now are just bad basketball and frustrating to say the least. Record aside, preseason was hella fun and it's been downhill ever since.

Its not forced, I actually love it even tho we on the losing end from last year. Back in the day it would be forced, but ATL as a city thinks they are better than NY period. Yeah, I feel you on it from a urban cultural/hip hop tip. But from a pure basketball standpoint it need a little bit more substance before I feel like it’s a credible rivalry. Like if we meet in the playoffs again (this season) then the seeds will be rooted. But at this point we still in the seeds in the soil stage. I think the element of Trae being a MSG villain got the legs going.

But on the other tip, I went to school in the south. So yeah, the silent butthurt by ATL dudes towards NYers was real. Like it would pop off on campus from time to time. Big football country dudes against NY/NJ dudes. The toys had to come out a few times to equalize the size difference.

Yeah it's per 36, he and Obi are both putting up great per 36 numbers, which explains why our coach has rewarded them with 18mpg and 15mpg.

It’s not real to me, I don’t think twice about Atlanta, and rivalry usually stems from a history of real bitterness and hatred…

I felt the serious rivalries like Boston/NY during the Paul Pierce and Quentin Richardson era and of course the 90’s battles with the Heat, Pacers and Bulls
