The Conference Bingo Draft (2010s to now) - Signups
Draft rules:
1. Subject to the rules to be set out below, players from the 2009-10 to 2020-21 seasons will be available to be drafted. You can draft players that came into the league before 2009 but the season you choose can't be before 2009-10.
2. You will be required to draft a total of 8 players. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations.
3. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 88.0 FGA with a minimum of 3.0 FGA per player corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player. NOTE: You may pick a player whose actual FGA number was lower than 3.0, but you still be charged 3.0 for that player.
4. Taking into account all the franchises your players have played for throughout their careers, all the franchises in at least one conference (as currently constituted) must be represented on your final roster. For example, if you draft Paul Pierce you will have the Celtics, Wizards, and Nets covered for the East and the Clippers for the West.
Predecessor franchises per Basketball Reference are included, e.g., a season with the Sonics will count for the present-day Thunder.
NOTE: Franchises count even if the season itself isn't eligible, e.g., Kyle Lowry covers both the Grizzlies and the Heat.
5. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected.
6. We will be doing a modified snake draft. It will go like this: ABBABABA
7. Players will get a maximum of a 2-hour window to make their selection when they are on the clock. If you still have not chosen a player by then, or if the player you have chosen is ineligible, you will be skipped. Also, if you know ahead of time that you won't be available to make your pick on the clock then please PM your selection to myself or another participant. NOTE: If you miss one pick and have failed to make it by the time your next pick comes around, you will be skipped.
8. The clock will be turned off between 12 midnight and 9 AM EDT.
9. Draft order will be completely randomized.
10. After you have made your draft selection, please quote and/or PM the person that goes after you so they will know that it is their turn and they are on the clock. You may not change your pick after it has been made, even if the next person in the order has not picked yet. Please note that the clock starts whenever the previous drafter has either made their pick or their two-hour window has expired, even if the next person is not quoted.
11. The winner of the draft will be determined by playoffs.
Team Roster Page Rules:
You will be responsible for creating a roster page for your fantasy team. Here are the things that you will be required to include on your roster page:
. Players
. Rotations
. Draft selections
. The most important of all, you must show the total FGA per player on your roster AND a total sum of each players FGA to display that it is under the required 88.0 FGA
-All of the above must be completed before playoffs begin.

I'm open to expanding the era if we somehow get above 12 people this time.

Still tumbleweeds.
Guess I'll leave this up for a couple more days - not like anything else is going on.

Yeah, this is a longer period of low activity than we're normally used to seeing. I'm sure the holidays is a part of it, but people are probably burned out. It happens in a small community.

I feel like the pool of regulars has been steadily shrinking since I started at least. Nowadays we need almost of all of them to be playing just to make a game viable. The days of getting a full 16 are close to over.

Yeah, we used to get 16 rather quickly. We used to have to turn people away. I remember multiple times where I was on the fence about joining a game, then decided to join, but by then it was too late- there were no slots left.
I also remember one time when we decided to set up a game with THIRTY drafters- and we were actually able to get that many.
Maybe these have just run their course.

Personally I am just too busy IRL to devote the necessary time. I am still checking here like 10+ times a day though as my addiction isn't gone yet.

There are always going to be people who can’t play in a given game for one reason or another.
The difference is that we used to have enough people to move forward without them. Not sure this is the end of these games altogether, but it might be the end for a time.

Seven is still pushing it.
If things don't improve by tonight I'll ditch this one.

I can get in. Eight may be as good as we can do right now.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Do I need to go 2010s?
2000s to now loses a lot of the challenge with only eight people.

Sure, or go 2008.
