We gave up like 18 straight points on the 1-5 pick and roll with LMA on paul or booker which was an automatic bucket every single time. We did this for like 20-25 straight possessions spanning the 2nd and 3rd quarter with adjustment.
On top of that, The suns had 3 runs 10-0 or better and Nash didnt take a timeout on any of the the three. He also took no timeouts in our several streches of multiple turnovers. he didnt break suns momentum, he did nothing to refocus our sloppy play.
Kyrie or not, this team has ZERO chance to win a title with Nash as coach.
The suns didnt even play well.
Where is Blake Griffin in a game like this?
Nash deserves 100% blame for the decision to switch LMA on a 1-5- pick and roll versus Chris Paul. I 100% agree.
However, James Harden and Kevin Durant turned the ball over 12 times combined and all of those turnovers were lazy, half assed crap outside of the one turnover where Bruce Brown blew an easy catch and lay up.
Harden was terrible tonight and didn't show any aggression. KD bricked a ton of shots he should have made and Devin Booker cooked him early on. This game was over after the 1st quarter
I blame Nash, and I also blame our teams' alpha dogs for this loss. They didn't set the tone. Meanwhile, the Suns set the tone defensively and CP3 and Booker did us dirty. McGee came in and abused us off the bench because Nash is an idiot for playing Milsap at center.
There's a reason why we can't beat good teams, and it revolves around the coach and our best 2 players. Moreso James Harden. Is he going to wait til May to start being aggressive?
