Last year this team was fun to watch and competed every night. This team just stinks. I'm excited to get Killian back to see if he can inject some life into this team. And please don't bench Diallo because Killian is back. He's been good and actually has potential beyond future role-player unlike someone like Bey or Stewart.

Well, it will be basketball. That’s all I can say.

I’m still yelling “Go Blue!” today anyway. What a friggin’ awesome game. About time I got to be on the right side of one of those games for a change.

Man was that a fun game yesterday. I thought they would get murdered, but my older brother said he thought they would win. I asked him late in the game how he knew, he just smiled and said, "it was just time and I knew they would have laser focus".

I woke up today and have been watching YouTube stuff about it all day. What a great feeling to see that snow falling at the Big House, it just reminded me of my childhood again.

Maybe the UofM finally getting a win is a sign of things to come for michigan based sports teams ;) we can all hope right? lol

I didn't think they'd get murdered; I had said--and got laughed at by PLENTY of MSU and Ohio State fans--that Michigan's pass rush with Hutchinson and Ojabo along with safeties Ross and Hill would keep Ohio State's pass offense from going full ape like it did against Michigan State. And while Michigan had a good running game and Ohio State's D is nothing to write home about, I didn't expect Michigan's O line to dominate like they did. I had said if someone had a gun to my head and I had to bet I'd take Ohio State and lay the 8.5 points. But Michigan played a nearly flawless game; they had one false start, one pass interference, and the interception.

I give props to Mike Valenti; he predicted Michigan to win outright and he HATES Michigan. He had also predicted Ohio State 51-21 over Michigan State; love him or hate him the guy definitely knows football. In his show Wednesday he did a "12 Reasons Why Michigan Will Win" and 8-9 of them were serious (3-4 were stuff like "it has to happen at some point"), including the pass rush and running game as I mentioned. Another key point he made that hadn't occurred to me was that in recent history, any time Michigan had a top team that was expected to make some noise against Ohio State the game has been in Columbus, and this game was in Ann Arbor.

Now Michigan has to take care of business against Iowa and they're in the playoff no matter what happens anywhere else. If Bama knocks off Georgia in a close game I could see both of them making the playoff just because the CFP committee sucks but that won't knock Michigan out. Cincinnati is definitely in which leaves Oklahoma State as the odd man out in that scenario; even if they romp Baylor I can't see the committee taking them over Michigan. But I think that's a pretty remote scenario given that Auburn took Bama to the limit with a backup QB on one leg. I will be expecting--and rooting for--Georgia to stomp Bama because then the CFP is a no-brainer with Georgia, Michigan, Cincy and Oklahoma State, assuming they beat Baylor. If Ok State loses to Baylor then likely Notre Dame is in. Which I don't want to happen because f**k those guys; join a major conference if you want in the playoffs, chumps.

Hey, it can't hurt. And with Ok State going to the Big 12 championship maybe Cade will be all fired up.

It was incredibly contraversial in the last 2 game threads, so I thought I would drop some stats concerning whether Cade shoots better with Killian helping to run the point for him.

Because we are only 19 games in, and our sample size without Killian was only 4 games, I took the previous 4 games where Killian played as the baseline.

Last 4 games W/O Killian.
2pt-%---3pt---%
6/21 .285 1/9 .111
2/10 .200 1/7 .143
3/10 .300 2/6 .333
3/13 .231 0/5 .000
Totals
2's 14/54 .259
3's 4/27 .148

Last 4 games With Killian
2pt-%---3pt---%
4/10 .400 2/8 .250
10/20 .500 5/11 .454
6/18 .333 2/6 .333
6/12 .500 3/8 .375
Totals
2's
26/60 .467
3's
12/33 .363

The numbers with Killian (combined with assists/T/O plus rebounds and his defense) put Cade on a superstar path without any question.

The numbers without Killian, even with the rebounds/assists and defense put him closer to MCW at this point.

I know 4 games is a stupid small sample size, and this is really a wasted thought experiment more then anything, but I am curious to see if Cade shoots closer to the superstar 4 games or the MCW 4 games with Killian tonight. This is also a very high pressure game for Cade as he will be playing in LA against the Lakers for the first time. Time to compare some percentages!

We don't have a chance in hell of winning this game. Every call will go the Lakers way, this game, at Staples, as "the revenge game". But I want to see our guys compete and not bend over.

I don't think it has much to do with Killian to be honest. When Killian plays he's pretty much the SG in the corner he isn't creating offense for anyone. I think Cade is missing very makeable shots. I'd just eye test wise he misses 8/10 open 3s.

So his ten assists game at Toronto shows he isn't helping set anyone up?

Seeing some pregame shoot around. Cade's stroke looks clean. He made all but 2 shots, both from three.

The kicked ball rule is one corny NBA rule that needs to be changed. Passing a ball off the opponent's foot shouldn't be a kicked ball since there's no kick. Seriously, when was the last time you saw a player actually kick at the ball as a defensive move?
