I remember the Bucks traded for Kevin Duckworth back in the day. This is different for many reasons. But is it?

Yes it is.

He only played 13 mins last year so obviously something must still be bugging him and he might never be good for big minutes again.
But if you look past the low minutes, per 36 he was still the same 22/12 kind of guy, with a 60% TS and 42% from 3.

If he can get his body right even a little bit he can be a massive difference maker for the Bucks, and if he can't, well no big deal.
That was a great move.
He needs to be able to run the floor and play the drop.... His passing and shooting will be an asset.

I’m pretty sure he’ll be able to stand around the 3 point line. If he makes a few 3’s (better than Brook), defenses have to pay attention. It could mean more space for Giannis inside.
I’m not too worried about his defense as long as he’s on the court with Giannis. Bobby and Khris must do the dirty work when Giannis sits.

We could have done worse than Boogie. We've needed a big body to absorb some of that punishment for weeks now. Better late than never.

The Clippers didn't let him play much because they completely tanked when he was on the floor.

Who would you take right now? Cousins, Howard or McGee?

Looked pretty good in those highlights (who doesn't look good in highlight clips though). Still something to work with there.

Pros:
- Shooting, range
- Making the extra pass
- Drives, based mostly on his bulk

Cons
- Slow as a glacier
- Couldn't jump over a jam tin

McGee has been a monster in his role this year, he’s way better than both of them right now.

picked him up at a similar age, and price, and league wide perception as being done..... like the day we first signed lopez

i really really like the signing

he might be gold and even if he aint hes still a real big body that can bang some dudes to hell which is exactly what we need for a season long grind if brooksie is gone

Cousins has been on some pretty tight teams so I'm really not concerned by any of that. Just hope he can give us some decent minutes while we wait for Lopez. After thinking about it for a bit I think not needing Giannis to play centre minutes unless we really need him to makes this signing more positive than the actual player we signed.

Zero concerns about chemistry. The Bucks culture is like Brady's Patriots. They can bring in guys many teams won't touch and enjoy the upside if there is any.

That Instagram clip is funny. Shining vs Elite gym pickups.

PJ tucker was washed up when we picked him up too.

I'm not expecting PJ tucker impact, but when u just have to be better than thanasis and semi to save Giannis from Extra hits, it's a no brainer that costs nothing.

Also pretty cool we have a couple tough dudes on this roster. Who's going to mess with this team when u got a duo of boogie and crazy eyes.

Not worried about chemistry. The Bucks aren't looking for a scorer. They're looking for a presence on defense in the middle. He has been a good low post defender in the past, but not a great overall defender. Can he play the drop-probably, but lately the Bucks have played less drop than in the past. And it's been successful.

Whether Cousins can hedge ball screens and recover is a big question mark. No downside in trying it out. He failed to stick with the Warriors and Clippers, so it's unlikely he shines. But definitely worth a tryout. Much better than Semi.

Chemistry for Boogie hasn't been a problem since the moment he left that dumpster fire franchise in Sacramento. Dudes been on multiple championship level teams, played with multiple wildly different superstars and vets and has been loved by the all.
