This is assuming the Raps wouldn't be interested in Simmons cause him and Scottie Barnes would cancel each other out. The same goes for Scottie Barnes and Siakam, which is why plenty of Raps fans are ready to move on from Siakam.

Danny Ainge, is that you?

That trade sucks for everyone involved lol.

Celtics get smaller and have to rely on the J's to score even more. The Raptors get an old fossil and a mid center and a mid round pick for their best player. We get another small scoring guard and tweener forward.

Thats an impressively bad trade lol.

If his group buys a team I wonder how negotiations with Klutch and ownership would go.

Klutch: Ownership has presented what I believe is a very good contract 5/20.
Player: But I'm a 4 time All Star and I just won an NBA championship where I was the Finals MVP.
Klutch: I'll see if I can get them up to 25. But this is a very good contract. And you'll be the face of the franchise.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

lil bit of both. I think the Kangz of it all has ingrained some awful habits and tendencies into Fox. Most of defense is desire and effort and this dude was an absolute defensive monster in college. I think on a different team, he's a better defender but you're gonna have to break some habits for sure.

I sent this to Morey via his email (the_real_murray@gmail.com), he replied to me that he would do the deal.

Siakam is actually the exact type of player we need. An athletic good defense 3/4.

Our 3's and 4's with Kork, Tobias,Niang all get exposed on defense. With Seth and Danny also being soft on defense that exacerbates the issue.

Vanderbilt and Edwards were blowing past them all night in the Wolves game.

It killed us last year in the Hawks series as well.

Ben, BBall Paul, and Aaron Henry for Danilo Gallinari, Cam Reddish, Jalen Johnson and 2 firsts.

Mix of now and future. Jalen Johnson is going to be a force eventually.

This is a haul I'd love. I love JJ and I love Cam also. Picks are fun, and Gallo is a solid starter. Would create a bit of a forward logjam though.

I'd sequentially looking to sell high on Tobi or Seth or both for defense and shooting.

The Grayson Allen pickup by Milwaukee was so underrated. He'd be a great offball guard fit alongside Maxey with his size, shooting, defending and secondary ballhandling.

Yea, it's definitely more fun and I think allows this current team one last shot at going for it as currently constructed (looking at you Danny Green and Seth Curry).

When the playoff collapse inevitably occurs, we should segue into the second phase of Embiid's career where we put youth around him that will grow into all-stars and we'll become less reliant on him, offensively at least.

A starting 4 consisting of Maxey, Reddish, Jalen Johnson, and Embiid would be fun down the line. Well rounded. As I said before, I'd look to trade Seth for Kyle Anderson and really play position-less basketball between 2-4.

He's struggled being the first option since Kawhi left and being a primary defender. But as a secondary guy with Embiid behind him like the Raptors had Gasol/Ibaka he would fit in nicely.

Pump and dump window for Maxey (with Ben) still open?

Exactly.

Embiid can empower Siakam
Siakam can empower Tobi

Siakam even is the best roll man for Maxey.

If opponent’s centers are gonna be with Embiid, then Siakam will feast against smaller defenders. Siakam is a scorer, unlike dunker spot Ben.

There’s only maybe 2 teams who can match-up our frontcourt. Then you have your dribble drive offense of Maxey-Seth to pull away on those teams who can.

Siakam makes Tobi’s lack of physicality and size a non issue.

Siakam has shown ability to play a dribble drive offense with his days with the Raps.

*Empower = hide weakness and showcase strength

This team severely lacks athleticism overall and a bunch of people want to trade two of our three most athletic players together to get what? There isn't an A-lister available out there and you are giving up tons and tons of athleticism in Simmons and Maxey for a likely non-existent and at best much older player, when the current version of the team is screaming for big, athletic wings if Simmons is moved. Getting one guard like end of career Lillard isn't going to do anything when the rest of the team is outclassed by the numerous teams with large, rangy athletic wings that we do not possess. Milton or Thybulle (Thybulle is athletic, but likely to be overpaid in a year or two) and the salaries of Green and Korkmaz are what can or should be moved with Simmons in any deal and in said deal we need to remember that Simmons covered up a host of defensive sins and missing pieces we don't have if all you get back for him is another point guard (unless it's Murray from SA).

Whoever said Fox is a good defender in any part of this whole forum not even including this board is a downright stat checker. The only thing stopping Fox from being bottom arse tier CJ/Dame/Trae level defender is he gets steals that’s basically it.

Fox is trash so is DLO.

Been telling you guys we need some size right? Watch the Magic game and see how easy for Franz Wagner to score against us. And it’s not just this game.

I also told you that having a big frontcourt with a PF like Siakam or Sabonis isn’t a problem with Embiid. Those two are not shooters but they can shoot. And they run almost the same system and roster structure with us, a center who takes a lot of jumpers and dribble drive offense.

Our size is a bigger problem than our endless search for that alpha creator that may not come at all.

And it’s a good thing because what we need is cheaper, while we can be patient with Maxey’s development as alternate option to Embiid down the stretch.
