I believe this is the Simmons trade.

Sacramento Trades: Fox
Sacramento receives: Simmons

Boston trades: Tatum
Boston recieves: Fox

Philly trades: Simmons
Philly receives: Tatum

All teams give their roster a major shake up basically. As mentioned in the title this is my prediction on how things eventually out.

Maybe possibly Brown, but Tatum has a lot more value than Fox or Simmons, even with his current struggles.

I'd rather have Tatum than Fox + Simmons.

Tatum has had a tough year but I gotta believe that he still carries a great deal more value than Fox who himself is having an off year.

I don't think Boston moves Tatum even if you add a few UP SAC picks to this.

In terms of value, Tatum is on a completely different level to Simmons and Fox.

I think when push comes to shove Boston would part with Tatum before they let brown go.

What

and then double what would be the Kings preferring Simmons over Tatum

Or Brown, for that matter.

Swap Ingram for Tatum and whatever is needed to smooth it out.

I feel boston might be coming to terms with the idea that Tatum might not as special of a player that he was originally thought to be. Same way that memphis cut ties with Rudy Gay.

Dude Tatum had back-to-back phenomenal seasons and post-seasons by just 22 years old, and you think the Celtics are coming to terms that he's Rudy Gay over him being in a slump for a 20 game stretch?

That's wild. Even star players have bad, sometimes long slumps, give him to the all star break at least, sheesh

I think if you had hope of him being Durant you'd maybe be a bit disappointed, but otherwise he's probably the third best scoring small forward in the league (behind KD and Paul George) so I don't really get the Rudy Gay comp. Rudy was a 20/6 player on poor efficiency. Last year Tatum was a 27/6/4 player on above-average efficiency, and this year we have a small sample from a guy who was hurt over the summer. This season might be a down year for him, but man he's a great player. FWIW I think TMac might be the better point of reference. Never became the all-time great we expected based on that brief explosion in Orlando, but even that is too early of a prognosis.

I think Boston would cut Philadelphia and Sacramento out of this and keep Tatum for themselves

I don't be understanding these Simmons deals. He has no value. What team is going to give value for a guy thats a head case?

If this is your premise:

1) why would Philly want to trade Simmons for Rudy Gay?
2) why would Boston want to trade Tatum for someone with a much worse career than him that’s also having a terrible shooting slump?

For the record, Boston doesnt come close to feeling the way you speculate. Every year, including this one, the team falls off the map when Tatum sits.

Pop looking to do a Kawhi special on Simmons. Trade Murray and change for him.

Even if true, the return would be more than this.
