The recent threes and freethrows he has been making is a really nice development and kind of a huge difference from college. Add that into his Antawn Jamison-esque post scoring game, we have a serious player.

Weird take from me, but I feel like his offense is a bit ahead of his defense at this stage. I still think he gets burned on drives and backdoor cuts, but he is getting better game to game.

The common thread that ties both together will be his handle. He does very well in transition because of his vision and the better spacing - the passing lanes are smaller and short-lived in the half-court, the chance of getting stripped is higher.

I’d really love to see Scottie in that 2019 Gasol role where he quarterbacks the offence from the top of the 3 point line.

His vision is fantastic plus his ability to drive downhill, or pull up at the free throw line. He doesn’t look comfortable where we’ve been playing him on the baseline

He has a long way to go and there will be ups and downs but he is ahead of where he was projected to be which is really exciting. His defense is a bit behind but overall he is better than expected. Feels good to have a serious piece to the puzzle already.

Not that controversial. He's just sticking to his pre draft evaluations. He's wrong, but nothing wrong with sticking to ones guns.

It just seems dumb to me to stick to your guns despite having 20 games of evidence.

create controversy and discussion. get people riled for argument.

That guys a moron lol. His initial tweet says based off the ~20 games then in his replies he says well they weren't high in my pre draft so that's still holding them back and that 20 games isn't enough to warrant them jumping up that much.

Tbh, Barnes probably was a bad scorer in college outside transition. (obviously the style of game, spacing and coaching has made a difference)

The fact that he's grown so much offensively in such a short time period really speaks well for Barnes though as his offensive game progresses.

It doesn't matter how you really start coming in if you never progress and add to your game, it matters how much you can add and effectively use it in game.

What front office did was predict his development. They obviously saw work that he puts in the offseason. So give yourself a break. Most of us did educational guess based on information we had.

Don't want any entitled players on the team. He's could be the next Kelly Oubre.

I think this is a way of highlighting the issues of amateur draft analysts. Draft Twitter is full of these guys with their own biased takes that have a decent enough audience their message is heard/shared. However, what this guy is doing is ignoring the actual 20 game sample of real basketball in order to say that his draft ratings are still accurate.

How could you ignore the fact that Suggs hasn't been able to shoot while Scottie has been a constant double-double threat while starting on the Raptors?

I guess he is allowed to be wrong, but he puts zero critical thinking behind his stance - just I am going to ignore actual NBA game data. That's weak sauce.

Clearly defense is the difference between winning and losing for this team.
