At 9-12 where do you stand?

Tank World Order: Hope the team continues its downward trajectory so that they can add another top lottery pick talent to the core of Barnes and OG?

I'm firmly in the treadmill camp if they play good defence and rebound the ball but they're not doing that. In fact they're one of the worst teams in the NBA with regards to the faculties I care most about.

I'm starting to waver...

I want Kendall Brown, Forward from Baylor. Athletic, very good defender and underrated playmaker and is a freshman.

Seems like the perfect time to take advantage of Denver and send them Dragic for Nnaji, Bol Bol and filler.

Denver would hang up.

The best we can hope for trade wise is probably getting a 2nd round pick. And for that to happen we would need to find a team that has a nearly matching expiring that has less value to them then Dragic. That will not be easy to find.

That is a fair take.

My personal opinion on this hasnt changed. Give the team until the all-star break to see where things go.

If they play .500ish, a tank isnt necessary as it would perfectly fine to continue to build from there. A .500ish record (play-in territory) should be viewed a resounding success considering the Raps are basically the youngest team in the league with over half the roster turned over in the last 8 months. If the team totally flops, then tank post all-star break.

i think currently the team is not doing what most people want them to be doing - whether you want them to win or lose.

they are pretty much a treadmill team right now. not tanking, not winning enough.

worst nightmare to be in but there is a light at the end of the tunnel which is the growth of Scottie Barnes and the offensive growth of OG.

shot creation and defensive potential. like jimmy butler. He hasnt played much cause he's coming off an injury. I wouldn't mind taking him if we're in the 8-10 range

Griffin is potentially the 'OG' of this draft. Given his knee injury, his stock has dropped, but once it's healed and he gets over the psychological impact, he could be solid. He has only played 1 good game this year so far though

Very close to 7th. Could be an odd season with many teams around .500

Like is he just going to look like KP out there.

Anyways, best of luck to him.

I don’t know who I’m loving from this class just yet, but I’d be partial to someone who can play C. Someone like Duren maybe, but I’m not sold on him either.

Right now My list would probably be

Banchero (he just looks like he’s going number 1. Can he play C)
Any of the Jaden’s
Duran

I still like ibou baji if we can some how get a second round pick if he’s still on the board.

Anyone else impressed with Blake Wesley for Notre Dame last night?. One mock has him at 10 while others unranked as he has demonstrated unexpected upside so far this season. I too think that Kendall Brown is a Raps type of player.

He's gonna be a power forward that occasionally players center, like Mobley in that sense. He'll be fast enough for most forwards imo. He's a 7 footer with great wing span, he sorta has that natural passing vision, touch around the basket, and the instincts and reaction time to block shots.

Only question to me is his durability. Will he be fine with NBA physicality? People compare him to Porzingis with his injuries, but Porzingis is 7 foot 3. I don't know if that makes a difference but I can see the worry.

I’m scared of Chet lol I think I’d rather get pick 3-4 over pick 2

Yeah, I would go

1. Banchero

2. Jabari

3. and then decide between Hardy, Baldwin, Chet and Duren.

Reality is though Chet for sure goes 1 or 2. Unless Jabari or another prospect plays out of their minds.

At the moment scouts seem to be drooling over Chet's defensive potential.

I forgot about Smith but I heard his wingspan is subpar. Regardless if he can play C he does look interesting. Do you think Banchero can play C?

To be honest I don't think Banchero or Smith should play C. Can they? Sure (both guys are 6 foot 10). But some of the best prospects in this draft are forwards (Baldwin, Smith, Banchero). I know we have a bunch of forwards but I don't think Masai, Bobby, or Tolzman care. They're gonna take best player available over need.
