We haven't done **** yet, i'm appreciative of every win, just gotta keep it going. I really hope we can get one of the top 6 seeds, I don't think my heart can handle the play-in

"What do we do with the season now?"

I am wondering what Gupta is thinking about it. Or better, what Gupta and Arod + Marc Lore are thinking about it. A small trade, a big trade? One thing that Rosas did well, he was proactive and very aggressive in trades, because we could not get any attention from UFAs.

You know given that we have played 13 home games and only 8 road games, lost some of the easier ones and suffered minor injuries to Towns and Reid, I have to ask why people assume I am trying to be an a** or make them eat crow. I am being serious here. If a losing streak deserves reflection and analysis why doesn’t winning 7 of 8?

Btw, my question still stands, what if anything has changed your minds watching us fight back in, or do you still think because of strength of schedule and failure to fix key problem areas that we are still doomed?

I think we need see where we're at by the beginning of 2022 before we really know we are. As somebody mentioned, there's no gimmes in the next 15 games. If we're still at or above .500, we can start to feel good about ourselves.

6 games at a time (minimum) … Track the trend. Once we are 36 games in it should be quite obvious the direction the squad is headed.

Our losing streak was characterized by poor defensive effort, lack of ball movement (play calling) and flat out cold shooting (outlier).

Winning these close games overcoming bad officiating and injuries is a very good sign.

If we get Prince and Beasley to play anywhere near their lifetime averages we'll be tough to beat.

We're starting to look like a well coached squad. The first time in many years. I see no reason why it can't continue.

Most of u would grill me for this.. But I would trade Edwards, Beasley and fillers like okogie plus couple 1sts for Simmons. We keep McDaniels, prince and Beverley.

Dlo
Beverly
Prince
Simmons
Towns

Playoff team.

Yep I grill you for that. Horrible idea.

When was the last time we won 7 of 8? Did we do it in the Butler playoff season or does it go back to 2004?

Not sure. Kinda wish I had Jim Pete level powers and could put a Twitter follower on that. It is a great question :)

17-18 was the playoff season???
If so I called it. What if we win this next game and go 8 out of 9. Will that be the best stretch since 2004?

I hope that Gupta will find a way to improve this roster. Players on the floor are playing hard, but it is not a sprint, it is a marathon. To survive a regular season, 82 games we need frontcourt depth. Also the Bolmaro minutes in rotation give me some hope that we have a bit of depth behind DLo and Beverly

Yes, but we need to get Prince out of the rotation. Not all depth has depth.

It will probably be the best 9-game stretch (haven't checked each one yet), but for example in 2008-09 we (somehow) went 10-2 in a 12-game stretch. That was the interim McHale year after Wittman was canned. Were 14-56 the rest of the year, but that January we were unstoppable!

Yeah, me too. Before the season started, many predicted we’d be in the NBA Finals with KG, Cassell and Spree. Then Cassell demanded an extension (after he agreed when he came here it would be decided at the end of the season), Sprewell needed to feed his family, and they just never put it together. Flip Saunders got fired because the team rebelled, and McHale came in - a coach with the power to trade you off to Vancouver if you didn’t do your job. Don’t tell Thibs.

Great month buried in my saddest season as a Wolves fan.

EDIT: ‘04-05. Thanks WormGuts. I am old and feeble-minded.

That wasn’t 2008-09, that was 04-05. I think McHale must have been an interim twice.

I'm slightly worried about two things.

1. Some of our 3 pt defensive numbers are just luck, teams are missing a lot of shots, I hope we don't fall apart when teams start hitting more of their threes on us.

2. We have been very healthy. Last night was the first time we had several significant players going down. If Towns gets hurt on one of his drives or we lose DLO for a month, we are in big trouble.

On the flip side, our shooting has to get better, Beasley seems to be working his way out of his slump though he is still have bad shooting nights.

I hope we can ad some more size.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
