1. Some of our 3 pt defensive numbers are just luck, teams are missing a lot of shots, I hope we don't fall apart when teams start hitting more of their threes on us.

2. We have been very healthy. Last night was the first time we had several significant players going down. If Towns gets hurt on one of his drives or we lose DLO for a month, we are in big trouble.

On the flip side, our shooting has to get better, Beasley seems to be working his way out of his slump though he is still have bad shooting nights.

I hope we can ad some more size.

1. Beasley having one good game followed by two very bad games is not necessarily a sign of progress.

2. Prince cannot hit water if he fell out of a boat in the middle of the Atlantic.

3. We have no depth at C. If Naz is out we are on a two way Knight as backup C. For context Knight radically under performed in the Summer League and got owned by Paul Reed and again in the title game. He is not an NBA level center, and he is undersized. V8 is not a center, nor is MCD. Any KAT injury and we are lotto team. Any Naz injury and we lose half the games he misses because he is not there.

4. It is not a coincidence that other teams are missing 3s against us. 3 point shooting is down radically across the league. Moreover, our system make players nervous and our pace takes their wind. The whole goal of our defense is to disrupt the other teams rhythm.

5. If we don’t add more scoring this season will be a night by night battle winning some and losing some until one of the big three is hurt and everything unravels. Better to trade from a position of strength then desperation.

Yeah, me too. Before the season started, many predicted we’d be in the NBA Finals with KG, Cassell and Spree. Then Cassell demanded an extension (after he agreed when he came here it would be decided at the end of the season), Sprewell needed to feed his family, and they just never put it together. Flip Saunders got fired because the team rebelled, and McHale came in - a coach with the power to trade you off to Vancouver if you didn’t do your job. Don’t tell Thibs.

Great month buried in my saddest season as a Wolves fan.

That wasn’t 2008-09, that was 04-05. I think McHale must have been an interim twice.

Whoa - I had no idea it’s actually been 17 years! I feel so old.

I've heard this a lot. However, I think there's something to gameplanning shots from specific players.

Just like the Pacers probably didn't mind that Okogie missed two open 3s, us allowing Sabonis (28% entering game) to take four 3s probably was at least part of the gameplan. Same with allowing LeVert to take seven 3-pointers (also entered at 28%). If non-shooters make more shots one night, you can live with it somewhat. Playing the averages.

We traded away Garnett in 2007.
