Sure Bane is a great shooter but he has short wingspan, so we just couldn't take him.

meanwhile we are dying for 3 point shooting

No point whining about Barnes.. every other team passed on him also... hindsight Is....

AbC? wrote:What a disgusting offensive display against the WORST defensive team in the league lmao.

The plus side is we might get another top 10 pick and we get to see Barnes develop. No downside win or lose.
It was ugly, but we missed a heck of a lot of wide open shots. FVV and Siakam were combined 2/11 on threes, Flynn was 1/7 and Svi was 1/4. The only players to hit more than 1 three tonight were Scottie and Yuta. Missing OG, Trent and Birch is pretty significant too. That's 40+ points and ~90 minutes that were mostly given to Bonga, Flynn and Yuta. Yuta had a good game, but he shouldn't be playing 30 minutes lol.

Also, Memphis is the worst defensive team in the league, but they are significantly better with Morant off the floor on that end (and overall). With Morant on the floor, their DRTG is 116.8 and 114.8 overall (30th). In the minutes without Morant, their DRTG is 108.2 (which would be 19th, but a difference of 0.4 between 15th). They'd be a solid defensive team without Morant.

This team’s got a long way to go. Only real positive to this season so far has been seeing Barnes and OG getting better but at least all these losses has made me accept that this is going to be a tanking season.

Somehow we shot 0.2% overall better than the Grizz. Their PG managed to get 5 assists (only 1 turnover), but sure let’s just blame Fred’s lack of assists on the team

He has excellent mechanics on that shot, which is why he was encouraged to shoot more by Nurse.

I get that it's frustrating. Our front office isn't going to get it right every time though. They still have far more hits than misses.

We also still have the rights to the real future superstar from that draft, Jalen Harris.

Why does it say Scottie is 1-4 from three? Did he not make 2 at the end.

The only game that we really should have won was the Pistons game. You can say that injuries have made it really difficult for the rest of them. Raptors are a top-heavy team. Without three key rotation players, they are not going to survive.

 they are a top heavy team where none of the starters are top 5 in their position.

Okay? Your point being? The raptors have been like this since last year. They have very little depth and if they have a lot of injuries or coronavirus breakouts like last year, they are pretty much screwed. There is no bench mob anymore.

even if they are healthy, they aren't a good team - I think that is his point.

I mean that's true, but it's not equivalent. We are missing two starters, two of our best scorers, I would argue OG is our best player, and our best big who could be starting over precious. They are missing their best player.

It is what it is.

hes pointed out that we need to look for scottie more on mismatches and let him handle the ball/move the ball. hes been on point a lot of the times he just needs more experience, itll come you cant judge the man whens hes never done anything like this and hes 10 games in

Good point. Hopefully he gets more comfortable as the time passes by.

Besides, every team has picks they whiff on, but if you hit on a good one, you could hit the jackpot.

He just doesn't make his teammates better and neither does pascal... too much iso hero ball... problem is Trent also only looks for his... not certain what nick can do other than insist they move the ball around more...

Team really needs a 33 year old Marc Gasol.

No...

More like prime time vc who can take the game over by himself....no one has come close since Kawhi...

You made the same criticisms of his passing when he had 17 assists in a game.

He's got the best stats on our team. Stop cherry-picking stats for your agenda. I think he's like 11th or 12th in the league for assists. OFC....when he makes his average of 7 to 8 then you say the stats don't matter.

We looked like a pretty good team until Pascal came back which coincided with all the injuries starting. Then after that, how many games have we had a full roster? Doesn't seem like much of a sample size for you to make these judgments no?
