Hes actually had a solid year this far in my opinion.

He's had two good games on offense (the last two) because he's hung around the dunkers spot, waited for team mates to get him the ball and flushed it uncontested.

And in the last two games where he put up points, he only pulled down 4 and 2 rebounds.

And he still is the worst P&R defender and switch defender I have ever seen in my life.

Before the last two games of putting up points, his previous 4 games to start the season saw him put up:
9pts
5pts
8pts
5pts

I will say that his 3PA's being almost 1/3 of his overall FGA's is a nice change from last season. When his 3PA's make up more than half of his overall FGA's that's a problem IMO.

Hyperextension looked painful.

PJ out at least the next two games (Sac and LAC) with that hyperextended elbow.

Will be re-evaluated next week.

He would only be missed if there was a way to tell which games he’d drop 20+ points.

I’m not sold on PJ as a small ball 5.

I’m even less sold on Miles as a small ball 5 though.

So based on that, I’ve only really missed PJ when Miles has had to play the 5?

Its great that he can schwack the 3 and spread the floor but he is 6'7 and totally lacks physicality and this team cannot win with him “defending" the paint

have given up 137 ppg the last 3 games with him at the 5

He's also a non factor as a rebounder as he's rarely even in the paint. Great stretch 4 though and has some minor ring protection abilities.

Washington is a guy that we really need to deal (plus whatever else makes sense) for a quality center. Or short of that, for a different player worth investing in. PJ will want a considerable raise at the end of his rook deal…no matter how mediocre he performs.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I said it last year, Washington is looking more like a Marv style 4 than a true 4/5

Except that Williams played excellent D, was a General on the court, dove for loose balls, played outside and in and played with passion?

I was going to say something about him lacking Marvs endeavour, I meant more the lighter stretch 4 type, Washington should honestly look to emulate Marv. With effort he could achieve most of the things you listed.

Marv worked hard to maximize his skills, PJ appears to be taking the opposite approach thus far. He could still grow up though.

Atlanta were pretty disappointed with Marv as well. So who knows
