Another terrible first quarter by the Clippers putting them in a huge hole that they have to spend three quarters getting themselves out of.

Clippers have three big men in Zubac, Hartenstein and Ibaka to play against Valanciunas and he is embarrassing all of them.

Mann has been a total non-factor. Kennard hasn't been much better.

Might as well raise the white flag and play the youngsters.

Automatic Win On Wednesday

Post#22 » by Wammy Giveaway » Tue Nov 30, 2021 5:49 am

Clippers will be back on the right track this Wednesday:

1. The opponent: it's the Kings. The loser Kangz, who are desperate to prevent a league record 16-year playoff drought. Currently tied with Clipper's 15-year playoff drought. With Walton fired, they've seemingly accepted the fate of usurping Clippers as worst franchise in all of sports.

2. Another back-to-back loss. Clippers are very good at preventing 3-game losing streaks. The fear of losing 3 games in a row has been their go-to sense of urgency when things are at their most dire. If there's any reason this Wednesday's win is automatic, it's to preserve their playoff spot, for a single 3-game losing streak could knock Clippers out of the playoffs prematurely, or - if they make the playoffs - ensure their demise regardless of round. Teams who've not had a 3-game losing streak in the regular season have a near surefire chance of making the Finals, and only by keeping the losing streaks to back-to-back will Clippers stand a chance at reaching the Finals.

I know Valanciunas is a good big man, but he would be a first ballot hall of famer if he could play the Clippers every game. I'm not sure what it is, but certain guys can't miss against the Clippers- Mike Conley Jr, Joe Ingles, Ricky Rubio, etc.

Perhaps they should try to trade for Valanciunas or Rubio just so we don't have to suffer from them playing like superman against them

As the resident plus/minus guy, my only explanation is this:

Ty is giving Zu tons of rope. Either to stake his claim at last as our #1 or as trade bait--with Hartenstein waiting in the wings. Something must be bubbling. It's illogical to hold Hartenstein out otherwise. Ty must be under orders from the FO.

Um...no? It's only November, bro. Too early for white flags. We're still a .500 team with no Kawhi, missing 2 other starters, and stay tuned on Zu.

The rest of what you wrote is of course all true. Our bench is now Luke and T-Mann----a loooooooooooooooooong way away from the Lou & Trezz Show that averaged 35 points a game?

In 29 mpg EACH---T and Luke are both averaging 9.6. Neither is ever gonna sniff 6MOY. Combined they make more than Lou & Trezz ever did. Do the math.

Lol, not even upset at this. We've said everything about this team ad nauseum. Anything more is just beating a dead horse. Same lineups same results. The G League game today was ten times more entertaining than watching this team play. He sat Morris out, why not sit PG as well, get him fresh and maybe it cuts down on his turnovers in the process. Play the youngsters, hell play Hart more. This trying to save face and keep the lineups the same in hopes Kawhi comes back soon is sinking the team. I actually expect the same outcome if there's no change ups on Wednesday against the Kings

You misunderstand me. I’m saying Lue is coaching the team as if Leonard is going to back next week and things will click back into place. He’s not coaching as if he’s doing everything he can to keep the team afloat on the chance Leonard does come back. There’s no urgency from the coach and the players have followed suit.

Usually teams get bit in the butt because they get up for the big games and overlook the others. This team isn’t even doing that. They’re clocking in, picking up their paycheck, and clocking out again.

Two things.
Start Ibaka.
End the Coffey experiment and give those minutes to Boston.

Need Batum back. Highest bball IQ on the team, and might be the best playmaker we have. I doubt we are gonna get an above average PG via trade this season.

If you remember all the way back, we tried that with Tim Thomas and Josh Smith who killed us in the playoffs and it didn't go very well!

It feels like we've looked bad more than we've looked good this year, but yeah it is important to note that we are at .500 (though I haven't looked at our SOS up until now.) Most here predicted only slightly above .500 record so the sky really is not falling.

I want to see Boston, but don't want to rush it. He was rushed into a prominent role last year at Kentucky and it was enough of a disaster for him to drop to the 2nd round for us. He should be playing full games in Agua Caliente until we see some consistency, then probably call him up and give him some limited but regular minutes on the big team.

I think his time is now as he's not playing in the G League game today and it looks like he's in an excellent position to get some minutes tonight. Of course you take your time with him if were winning and guys are playing well but in this current state with the injuries, bad offense, and condensed schedule its probably time to play him

Good call. 3 games in 4 nights starts and the Sacs are on a b2b. Now is the time.
