I'll admit I didn't like Cole last season and thought he was going to be bad this season but he changed my mind. Let's take that Cole and make diamonds
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

Cole played a very controlled game. Very impressed with him but something no one can take away from him is that he is an infectious leader. The dude is a competitor and tries to bring the guys along with him. Cole is a keeper. We may very well have something special between him, Suggs, and Fultz… and the front court isn’t looking bad either with Franz, JI, and WCJ. And as much hate as he gets, Bamba is showing flashes of being a difference maker. It’s just going to take time and somehow we need to carve out space/roles for these guys to succeed and become the best versions of themselves possible.

Another player worth mentioning is Moritz Wagner. The guy is a perfect bench role player in my opinion. Not the BEST one, but a PERFECT one for our rebuilding team.
He's always ready to come in and contribute right away. He has that knack of trying to get under the opposing big man's skin and throw them off of their game. He is hitting his threes at a decent clip this season. Always and I mean always bringing energy from the bench which we are in a dire need of every single night. His stats the last few games are impressive for a bench player.
Last year and during the summer break I remember a lot of guys here were writing him off easily, but I am super glad the FO resigned him and he is on the roster. He has a good chemistry with the team and is a keeper in my opinion.
Many fans still hate him for some reason, but I just don't see why. Maybe because he is not Rashard Lewis or Chris Bosh or highly skilled all-star
He is always fun to watch and brings a lot of hustle. A good example overall for the rest of the first and second year players.
Moe Wagner needs recognition in the Magic fanbase and we need to appreciate his hustle.

I believe they ran a tribute for him after the 1st quarter if I'm not mistaken on the Jumbotron.

Just to say "Hi" to the Bamba-defenders:
The streak is still alive and Bamba must be going for some kind of records already. This was another game for our starting C without attempting a FT, the only starter without drawing a foul. Actually, he's the only one not getting a foul, everybody else on the team shot at least on. (Mulder did not, played 5 mins only)

The only guy with single digits in scoring from the starters...just saying.

One thing that is without question when it comes to Cole is his competitiveness.
The dude wants to win and he absolutely is comfortable being the man down the stretch of a close game. And he's actually been capable in those spots more than a few times too.
It's been a long time since the Magic had a guard who could do that.

There was, yes. They played a video tribute on the scoreboard during a timeout.

I think I said this earlier (not just saying it now because of the win) but I feel like he's one of the last players I'd consider trading because he's part of the heart and soul of the team. He's the glue and the personality that ties everyone together. Not a traditional leader but his antics and energy certainly keep the team engaged.

I usually dislike watching those "get under your skin" type of players, even when they're on our team, but I love Moe because he's such a funny oaf about it. It's hard to describe. He always looks shocked, or amazed at every play. It's hilarious.

He learned from Vuc

I don't mind single digit scoring as long as he is holding down rebounds/blocks and making people take tough shots. Been doing more of that lately which is good.
Would like him to draw fouls more easily though

This happened either by design or as a happy accident but Wendell and Franz really stepped us as scorers while Cole was out and now that Cole is back we found ourselves with 3 guys who feel confident scoring at the end of the game. It was a real help.
Franz's three at the end feels underrated too. It was a hell of a dagger.

Gotta love the fire that Cole and Franz play with. They just want to compete.

Fun game , Atleast the second half lol . Cole just helps with scoring so much and he seemed to make a conscience effort to get others involved and not have blinders on . FranZ is quickly becoming one of my favorite players !

Cole’s our best player.
Multiple advanced markers suggest he’s been a top 40 player this year, && he was the lead guard of the lineup with the highest net rating before he got injured.
Again, I defended Mosley earlier today because guys are making significant strides under him.
Wagner continues to show the poise and skill level of a 10 year vet. It’s always fun to listen to opposing broadcasts talk about him.
We don’t get much attention so the gradual progression of them discovering him, then watching him terrorize their team as a rookie has been perhaps the brightest side about this season so far.

Think Suggs wpuld probably rip his thumb off if it means playing right away after seeing Franz becoming the team's top rookie. lol

I'd love to hear clips of this without actually watching the broadcast. I don't expect anyone to spend the time on it though!

I dunno who it was on the bench that was pointing out when the Denver player stepped out of bounds from Gary Harris' D in crunch time (Maybe Suggs cause it looked like someone in street clothes) but I shot my drink out of my nose laughing.

Franz comp is Franz. I can’t think of any one player that has his skill set and play-style. The Hedo comp is not terrible but I don’t think Franz’ handle is as good and Franz’ defense is better. And while Hedo was a not a dumb player at all, Franz BBIQ is incredibly high. I’m just amazed by how well this kid reads the court.

I see quite a bit of Hayward offensively. But that’s one side of the ball. It can’t be understated how much of an advanced defender he is for his age. It raises his ceiling so much higher imo.
I think we hit a home run on this one. He’s going to be one of the more valuable players in the league for a long time, if he isnt already.
