It's like someone splashed him with some type of retromutagen;
one of the best shooter's in the world one day, no longer an NBA player the next

He's above 38% from 3pt range on the road, but at home, he's now under 22%(after tonight's game).

You don’t play the exact same way as you would with completely different personnel. You also don’t stick to game plans that don’t work. Not just within the game, but game to game. What is the point of a scheme that is meant to consistently give up open 3s in a league that is more focused on the 3 point shot than ever? Just because 3 point shooting comes at a premium on our team, doesn’t mean it does around the league.

He can shoot 3s, he can rebound, he can block shots, he can clog the paint defensively which allows us to play more man-to-man instead of zone, he can set solid screens just because of his body.
Pretty much everything the Heat need right now.

Although Yurtseven has those skills the issue if Yurtseven is constantly out of position because he doens't know the offenses/defenses like most rookies it's quite possible that it is going to cause long term problems for a lot of teammates this season even when Butler and Bam are back. A vet has years of experience in the NBA to possibly know where he's supposed to be in an NBA defense/offense, a talented rookie not so much, it takes a lot of reptation of running plays correctly which is what you get in practice.
Miami just needs to go out and get a center who understands how to play within an NBA offense/defense which usually means a vet, probably not a talented vet but at this point Miami just needs someone who knows how to play the position in the NBA and has some size.

somerandomdude wrote:Agreed, or start finding out what we have in Yurtz. I'm not expecting him to fill up the stat sheet, but I do expect that his size alone will help out. Plus, he's shown he can knock down the 3, which gives him potential to play alongside Bam.

Maybe he read this forum and now he fears he can't live up to the expectations at home.

I would expect that the coaching staff and FO currently knows what they have in Yurtseven and that's why he's seen a total of 41 minutes this year.

I love this talking point because now you have to accept that Duncan Robinson is playing like a superstar in practice to warrant starting him and giving him 30mpg, even though he's been worse than trash the entire season.
AirP. wrote:Robinson hasn't been trash all season, only at home(basically the same as last year). I didn't want him resigned for anywhere near what he got and would have actually been fine with him walking if Miami couldn't get an asset out of S&T. Seems there's talk that the FO wasn't nearly as sold on him as Spoelstra was.
AirP. wrote:Also, he doesn't have to play like a "superstar" in practice to get 30 minutes per game, he just has to be hitting his 3s.
