Sounds similar to the Packer's Za'Darius Smith injury. He tried rehabbing his back for a couple months but ended up getting surgery at the beginning of October. He's still out but it's possible he returns in January. Lopez though is a much bigger man.

Don't think he'll be able to. "Back Surgery" is extremely broad.

So 3 months from now takes us to March. If he could come back by April at least you could get him a few warm up games before the playoffs. I would take that at this point. Good thing we got Boogie now. He can at least reduce the burden on Giannis the rest of the season.

Look on the bright side. Giannis didn't tear his ACL in that infamous play last season. I'm thankful for that.

The team is playing great right now. We'll be OK without Brook. We are the champs. We don't care about the regular season. It's all good as long as we're at full strength come playoff time.

I’m just going to speak Bamba to the Bucks into existence. I have no idea how we just need Hammond to Hammond.

Bucks desperately need DDV healthy at this point to have at least a legit 8 man playoff rotation.

Jrue (40)/Hill (8)
Allen (28)/DDV and Hill (20)
Midds (40)/DDV (8)
Giannis (20)/Pat (28)
Portis (28)/Giannis (20)

My guess though is that Brook will be on time to soak up 20ish minutes in the playoffs. We will be fine.

The part of me still clinging to a hope/dream is that they determined if they did the surgery now he has a chance to be back for the end of the season. I don't know if that's at all realistic.

Damn. PJ Tucker decision looks that much worse in the context of BroLo's back.

It doesn't matter if Cousins is the best non-guaranteed minimum contract signing in recent history. Even then we really could use another big who can defend.

The team gambled prioritizing billionaires saving money after a championship season and lost.

We were too happy. Something had to bring us down a little. I doubt he will make the playoffs so it is small ball Bucks until the end this season.

This sucks but I guess it was looking inevitable. As much as I love Boogie, you can't plan on going into the postseason with him and Bobby as your only back-up bigs. There's gonna be situations where both those guys can be played off the floor defensively (Bobby essentially was vs. Brooklyn). Horst is gonna have to get creative and swing another mid-season trade.

When I saw the news of MPJ's surgery I thought to myself that's where this was heading with Brook. I knew that wiretap headline would come any day now. Doesn't make it sting any less.

F*CK!!!

We've been through this but that was a lot of money for an aging PJ Tucker, who I'm not positive will make us all that better come April. He started out hot but has played poorly the last 5 games. I wouldn't be shocked if we get a better buy-out guy in March that can play some C. It was definitely a gamble not resigning him, but so be relying on 37YO 6'5" PF come playoff time.

I'll probably end up wrong, but my bet is that it was a good move to let him go (ignoring the real world issue of owners going to be knee deep in repeater tax soon)
