I think Nunn starts soon after he’s back. Ariza might take a while to get back into game shape. I’d suspect he won’t start right away.

The NBA has cleared LeBron and he will be back tomorrow night, after to "multiple negative tests" for Covid-19.

No more DJ, more Dwight, with an extra helping of Lebron. I’m digging it.

Don't like Dwight starting.. he plays best once he's seen how he can impact the game after watching action first.

I like the idea of this team in the playoffs
Westbrook, Ellington, Ariza, LeBron, Davis
Rondo, Nunn, Reaves, Melo, Howard

I'm starting to want THT+Monk moved for an SF but it's probably not likely to happen..
I think THT and Monk have a lot of maturing to do and learning on defense this season before I'd trust them in playoffs

I’m actually pretty happy with Monk. Meanwhile, Nunn’s injuries have put him so far behind the curve in terms of gaining chemistry with the team that I think he’s probably the guy we should trade.

Agree that we definitely need a wing though.

It’s only been two games, but the early returns on the offense sans DJ and Bradley are encouraging. This team just needs a wing defender now…. Badly. I have low expectations for Ariza but we’ll see what he has left in the tank. Why this team doesn’t cut DJ or Bradley to kick the tires on James Ennis is a head scratcher.

So apparently the Lakers aren’t even expecting Nunn before 2022 now. That really sucks.

I think the team the Lakers envisioned their main rotation was this in the offseason:
Westbrook, THT, LeBron, Ariza, Davis
Nunn, Bazemore, Howard

Plus 2 of the best shooters from these 3: Melo, Monk, Ellington

Rondo, Bradley, Jordan, Reaves were unexpected

I think 4 of the 8 main rotation guys have either sucked or been injured. I think Bradley and Jordan have only played because of the injuries in the main rotation (THT/Nunn/Ariza)
I think Melo, Monk and Ellington have all been as good or better than expected. I think Reaves and Rondo were good gets for depth.

How is it that Baze can fall out of the rotation but Avery Bradley, who’s been just as awful, not only continue to get minutes but freaking start. How can Frank justify giving him more minutes a night than Monk or Ellington? How is he still on the team and James Ennis can’t get a shot?

Bradley doesn’t get as much ire as DJ but make no mistake, he’s every bit as bad. I can at least see the logic in keeping DJ on the roster as an emergency big for a while. Bradley shouldn’t even be on the team.

I wrote about it somewhere around here, forgot which thread. Maybe this one. My position is and was, its a Big FU to Pelinka and what Vogel thinks of his moves

It's an interesting take. I think you might be on to something. I did find it odd that we signed a guy off the street and he immediately starts.

If I recall what I wrote. We didn't get him for the bubble. He went to Miami. He went to Houston. He went to the warriors, got cut. And without even a training camp or a warm up, shows up at the door and Starts.
Meanwhile, pelinka gets all these guys. Who do training camp. Spend the summer. We spend money on all these guys, and Vogel says Nope. Pelinka, I'm goin with an often cut and shipped around player, and starting him one day after gettin here. Lol
