Here is another rule change that would make sense prevent the long years of tanking. A team can't have a top 5 pick after the 3rd consecutive year.

This is a terrible look for the NBA, and its got to be demoralizing for the players. They will never live this down.

I also think there should have been a rule since the very start that a team can not select no.1 picks in consecutive years.

Cavs getting no.1 3 times in 4 years was insane. Philly got rewarded for their tanking with back to back no.1s.

Houston became a contender with Harden but was never really that likely to win a championship until they got CP3. Who they signed as a free agent...

OKC's best chance of winning the championship is by tanking to get superstars. There is no obligation to be "respectable".
