At 9-12 where do you stand?

Tank World Order: Hope the team continues its downward trajectory so that they can add another top lottery pick talent to the core of Barnes and OG?

His frame is always gonna be the major question mark with him, but Mobley’s success is probably helping his case

Chet is even more thin than Mobley but Chet is a legit unicorn if he can manage the physicality

His defense is legit imo his arms are too long and he's very agile for his size. Don't know about the offense though. Also his durability I worry he'll get injured and be impacted greatly by it, but that's with most big men (Porzingis, Embiid, etc).

I'm kind of worried that Chet has undiagnosed Marfan's Syndrome. Certainly hope he doesn't.

No I don't especially since it doesn't work. But you wouldn't understand that I guess.

But I'd reconsider calling yourself a fan.

The truly laughable part here is we have been scolded for derailing this thread. It's supposed to be about prospects. These guys then derail it themselves by poking fun at true fans of the team who like to see them win games. Very laughable. But I guess we don't understand??

This man had to have been absent from the forum for the past 2 years because the basic ‘real fans don’t root for their team to lose’ talking points were so last year and were addressed so many times by various different posters.

That's so funny haha. I know I guess wanting your team to lose is an awesome way to be a fan. We should make a tank 7 thread where we discuss the true meaning of a fan. No derailing though keep it on topic.

Nah, like I stated in literally the first post of this thread. Any basic ass questions about the morality of tanking and being a fan have already been addressed at various points in the multiple tank threads early on, you can always go back and find those and read through what most of us that post here have already lived through and had conversations about.

Yeah I'm not going to lie, I always laugh when they say that this thread is just an avenue for them to talk about prospects. Meanwhile, they frequently bump this thread after after every game. They celebrate after a loss and then complain about "fake wins" when we win. Losing to Boston, Memphis and Indiana weren't "fake losses" despite being without two starters and our best bench big man. The best teams in the league have been losing and losing a lot without some of their best players but for some reason injuries aren't supposed to have an impact on this club. We beat the defending champs who managed to close out the ECF last year without Giannis and it's just a "fake win." The ironic thing is, if we calculated all the "fake wins" and "fake losses" then we'd have a winning record right now.

He's legit at almost everything, especially defensively IMO. His only real concern is his body, which obviously is a huge issue.

I've said the same thing to them. They clearly like to be "involved" in the discussion or they just wouldn't post or visit the thread. It's actually becoming abundantly clear.

you know what doesn't work? Cheering for a team online has never seem to add W or influence the team's performance positively.

Quit regulating others on how to be fans let others enjoy their way of having fun. If people think losing now leads to winning later then that's their prerogative. It's a theory and we like to stand by that theory. There's no real shame in any fan's beliefs or behavior like the ones you made up in your heads since its really just a game where nobody gets hurt.

Some of us have more patience then a five year old. *Shrug*

Watching a team year after year, knowing they'll top out at a 1st..maybe second round exit...I'll pass on that. What fan would want that? Truly laughable stuff, actually kinda sad.

I don't envy the team who has to decide on him.

I mean....there's always a chance that any pick is a bust and looks completely stupid and obvious 5 years later.....but Chet is an extreme example. You might be completely wasting a top 3 pick.

And there's no precedent for that body type even becoming an allstar player. So if he succeeded and became an allstar player....he would be a first of a kind. Thats a huge gamble with such a valuable pick. Typically....you'd wanna make that kind a gamble with a mid round pick but his upside is too high for that.

Such a strange circumstance. I don't know jack....but i think i'd let another team take that chance.
