We desperately need to add a forward for the playoffs, and center is the most unnecessary position on the roster.

True, but if we wanna use Giannis as a free safety on D, we gotta pair him with a rim protector. I mean, Giannis is quite possibly the best help defender in the NBA. He can be everywhere at the same time thanks to his athleticism and length. Acquiring a rim protector would allow us to maximize Giannis' effectiveness on D.

If they determine he's unlikely to play this year, they can apply and the NBA will make an independent determination, and if they conclude that he'll most likely be unable to play before June 15th, the Bucks get a DPE worth 50% of Brook's contract for 1 year. January 15th is the deadline for application.

So based on this Lopez news...how much "progress" do we think Donte has legitimately been making?

Are we going to hear that his foot got amputated recently and he's been practicing on a peg leg, or is he on track to returning with enough time to get acclimated before the playoffs?

Whether or not Brook is more likely to be donezo (if not outright retire) vs be ready for the playoffs is another big question.

The Bucks have been especially cagey sharing this kind of information for both Donte and Lopez.

Bucks fans could use dogged reporters pressing team officials to give real answers about facts surrounding health situations and procedures like other teams do.

But in lieu of that we'll take the message board whispers where we can get them.

Not a fan of Harkless on the Bucks. He's a below average shooter. I reckon he'd be a bad fit next to Giannis.

That said, I'd love us to go after Len. My starting offer would be Nwora + Hood for Len. I wouldn't be willing to include Donte in the deal. Not to mention, the Kings already got plenty of young guards in Fox, Haliburton and Davion Mitchell. They might not be interested in Donte anyway. I mean, Haliburton is a rich man's Donte.

Donte has been seen doing on court work and catching lobs. He, at least appears to be, legitimately close.

Ron Swanson wrote:Actually like the idea of Len and didn't know he was on such an affordable contract. Showed some shooting ability the last few seasons as well. That's the buy-low play right there.
He'd be a solid pickup. Len is basically the definition of a replacement level backup C. He's a space eater who won't kill you but also likely won't wow you either. He plays basketball like someone who learned play by reading a book, like he doesn't really make mistakes but he also doesn't have any real natural feel for the game.

Sigh...

Again, PJ is a Buck for life, Steny's is also MY spot, and yes, you just had to be there last year.

I'm going to my first game since Game 6 tomorrow night. Looking forward to PJ getting his ring and tribute. There will be mixed emotions.

Yeah, I'm going to be very salty about letting PJ go for a long time. Love the dude, and even if we were completely healthy, he's exactly the kind of guy you want for 16 games.

What?

An epidural injection is technically a surgical procedure to inject steroids into the spine/disc's to relieve nerve pain and inflammation.

It was a joke.

Nevermind l

When I thought Brook was coming back I was riding high and I figured the Bucks had a strong shot at repeating. Now I'm concerned that they aren't going to do much other than what they already have done in bringing Boogie on. I think Boogie's going to be a big help, but I'm not sure he can fill Brook's shoes enough to win us a championship. Big man depth is still a huge issue. That said I love having Cousins on the team.

There are quite a few mediocre bigs on poor teams who can be had for cheap

Len
Muscala
Zeller
Favors (unfortunate contract with a PO next yr makes him unlikely)
Theis
RoLo
Ed Davis
Hernangomez
Etc.

I’m honestly not too worried about it now that Boogie is in the fold to soak up some minutes. We just need one more guy to platoon some minutes with him for the time being.

We essentially have the empty roster spots in Semi/Hood to open up room for somebody.

You have to imagine those "open roster spots" with Semi/Hood are burning a hole in Horst's pocket, even though both are quite bad.

Really wish the Bucks would've signed Garrison Mathews instead of Hood or Semi.

Hopefully Horst has it in him to pull off another Tucker-caliber trade.

Because this team really could use PJ on the court.

Off the court I can't imagine we find anyone as fun as him.
