I was thinking fit some combination of players with the bum RJ included
RJ will be on the next flight out of LaGuardia if Damian Lillard says he's ready to leave.

Too bad the league won't allow the Trailblazers to make any trades with the Knicks if they hire Scott Perry probably for a full season.
The Lakers and Knicks couldn't make any trades with each other for a full season when they hired Phil Jackson, because of his history with the Lakers and relationship with Jeanie Buss.

So many here would secretly (or not) love it if the Knicks lost by that much.stuporman wrote:This boxscore broke my mind.... 152-79

A 3 and D role player like he was projected to be?
That’s underrating him. He’s a monster. Plus, we could have developed Frank into just that.
That’s overrating him. Hes not a monster he’s a solid role player that’s about it.
Frank?

Pretty sure the Knicks will have to include one of those Maverick #1s to get Portland to take Perry.
I'd do it.

Knicks should try to keep Obi even though Thibs won't play him.
If only so we can bash

They will probably have to send something back to the Knicks, since it would be the same GM position he has with the Knicks instead of a higher position like President of Basketball Operations.

Ultimately, all of the relevsnt 20/21 playoff teams have been built through the draft: Booker, Ayton, Embiid, Giannis, Joker, Murray, Mitchell, Gobert, Trae and all of his supporting cast in Atlanta have been acquired through the draft. Add Steph and Klay. There are hardly any exceptions. Brooklyn and the LA teams are the only ones basically (and it’s not even looking too good for them), as teams like Washington and Portland also still cling to the draft picks they nailed.
Yet here we are, traded for Randle, signed some average Shooting Guard and over the hill point guards - yes, that includes Rose. We had the chance to rebuild and trade up for guys like Cole Anthony. We could be looking at Cole Anthony, Frank (possibly Suggs/Cade), RJ, Obi, Mitch and even more high upside youth and picks. With that lineup we draft top three next summer again and maybe we’re playing in the Finals 4 years from now. This way, we’re looking at Evan Fournier for years from now.
How stupid is that?
I still want to blow it up in favor of a youth movement.
We suck at drafting.. ended up with Frank instead of Mitchell.. ended up with RJ in a 2 player draft and Tyler Herro and even Garland look more promising right now.. Knox instead of SGA, Michael Porter, Miles Bridges, Mikal Bridges.. that rebuild thing only works if your FO has a good eye for talent…
No that’s not true. All the teams you mentioned that came away with those players missed out on even better ones that very year or missed the other year. Plus, we didn’t even continue playing those guys. Frank and Knox had promising strings of not only games but weeks. We terminated the rebuild right before it made sense: before actually tanking. We should have had more draft picks over the last three years and higher draft picks, but we ruined everything for a mediocre mentality. It’s stupid and here we are again. With Julius Randle. ****.
I would have expected it from the rest of them, Mr. Burgundy, but not New York.

Oh he is a freaking monster and you’ll soon realize it. This is odd to me. He’s playing a role, okay, but he’s playing it as well as hardly anybody ever did outside Kawhi back in the days and Pippen maybe. If you think I’m exaggerating, I would challenge you to tell me better options for what Phoenix does.
Just because you haven’t heard it before doesn’t mean it isn’t true. This dude is legit. They all are: Ayton, Paul, Booker who was ridiculed here even after putting up 72, hell even Crowder and most definitely Bridges. I bet he’s an untouchable in any trade discussion. Call him a role player for all I care. He’s a monster.

He’s a role player averaging 12 4 and 2 on a team with two perimeter stars demanding so much attention on the ball allowing him to thrive in wide open situations. He’s an excellent perimeter defender with limited skills offensively but he’s found a nice role as a role player. He’s not Kawhi, Ariza maybe, I don’t see a monster I see an excellent role player.
Oh and Miles >>>Mikal
