Is there a kawhi-lite player we should be looking out for in the 2022 draft?

Let's playin for 9th!

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
Hardy played against Kuminga and Moody in the g league, this was awhile ago. He has been suspended for breaking covid protocol which is why he missed the last 2 games I believe. Wasn't efficient from the field but just a couple clips from the game.

Watching Notre Dame/Boston College game on tv now and announcers saying many NBA scouts in attendance to see Blake Wesley, He was an unknown going into season, but has really turned heads early in the college season. I believe he will be a lottery pick despite the fact that only one mock ranking has picked up on him so far. He is the type of player Raps might like and could use- a 6'5", long armed combo guard. Check him out.

All I've seen is highlights but at this point: Ivey>Hardy.
If Ivey can take Purdue on an extended run in the tourney there's a good chance he goes top 2.

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
I've given up on Indiana overtaking us. Caris just doesn't look like how he used to, I guess all the surgeries finally caught up with him. Warren still not back and isn't going to be back for a long time it seems. Sabonis and Brogdon have to be the must un clutch duo I've ever seen. With all these factors combined I think it's safe to say they're always going to be below us in the standings.

IDK about top 2 (wouldn't be surprised though) but he's definitely moving away from the 7-10 range a lot of mocks had him at in the beginning of the college season and more in the top 5. Last time I checked some mocks most had him up high. He's officially out of our draft range I think.

CBS has him at #4 right now. If we're in that 7-10 range then maybe we get lucky and draft PBJ. Could also see us reaching in that range for someone like Nzosa, I know some here don't like him but I was pretty impressed from what little I've seen of him.

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
Yeah I think we're starting to see Hardy isn't living up to those Steph/Dame like highlights...so Ivey is looking like the best SG in this draft class and it's really not close - at least not yet. Way more impressed by Ivey's overall effort and the way he plays bball vs Hardy. But also makes me wonder IF Hardy could kick his game into a higher gear like Ivey would he better?! But that's IF he can, so far haven't seen him do it but it's still early.

I still think Hardy can become a great player, but so far he’s looking a lot like Kuminga did last year in the g league. A lot of shot attempts, not a lot of efficiency, overall horrible advance stats. It’s ugly, especially when you compare him to someone like Scoot who is putting up amazing numbers in the same environment. (Scoot is 2 years younger too lol he’s gonna be a monster).

2023 NBA Draft is going to be crazy! Got your boy Scoot Henderson and generational prospect of Victor Wemebenenyna and Canadian athletic wing scorer in Sheldon Sharpe!
Good drafts are happening this decade!

@JakeInThePaint
First (extremely) tentative shot at my lotto 1. Paolo 2. Chet 3. Jabari 4. Pat Baldwin Jr. 5. Jaden Ivey (Big drop) 6. AJ Griffin 7. Kendall Brown 8. Jalen Duren 9. Trevor Keels 10. Kennedy Chandler 11. Max Christie 12. Keegan Murray 13. Caleb Houstan 14. MarJon Beauchamp
Promising list if we pick 7-10.
Keels is so physical and plays really hard defensively. He's very raw offensively but drives well, might just need time to develop over a few years in the way someone like OG has. Nice fit for our roster as a physical guard who can rotate smartly and athletically and has the strength to guard 3s and 4s when they're driving.
Griffin I have no idea, I'm mostly watching Banchero and Keels and a little bit Mark Williams and seem to forget he's around when he does come in the game. Kendall Brown same thing haven't watched them yet.
Duren would be exciting just in terms of having a proper center, on defense though he looks raw (to be kind) when doing anything on offense other than dunking.
Also, Keegan Murray is on pace to join this list of college players with 10 win shares, and Beasley obviously had the talent to not be a bust and the other 8 guys is 6 all stars (2 all-time greats) and 2 very good NBA starters, particularly Battier.
1. Kevin Love 11.29 2007-08 UCLA
2. Andrew Bogut 10.94 2004-05 Utah
3. Paul Millsap 10.82 2005-06 Louisiana Tech
4. Michael Beasley 10.74 2007-08 Kansas State
5. Tim Duncan 10.44 1996-97 Wake Forest
6. Wally Szczerbiak 10.43 1998-99 Miami (OH)
7. Stephen Curry 10.30 2007-08 Davidson
8. Shane Battier 10.14 2000-01 Duke
9. Elton Brand 10.00 1998-99 Duke

Def taking Keegan if the other big names are gone when we pick. Obviously Raptors have their own metrics and belief system but if we don’t move up in the lottery he would be a great prospect for our organization. Has potential to be blue chip. Only thing is his wingspan while good isn’t ins’t in that elite range (I believe it’s 6-11). It’s gonna be interesting to see if his production once he starts playing some better competition.

I currently have Ivey ranked 4th, and I think he's going to be a stud. Just so explosive
I'm not high on Hardy
