Who is the last player you'd give on in a potential trade?

I picked Gafford not because I think he is the team MVP, but because I can't see a scenario where he gets equal value in return.

I would hate to give up Deni or Montrezl, but I could see scenarios where they are part of a package that gets a great return. In general I don't think the players I would want to trade Beal to acquire are available - but if they were I would be in favor of giving up Beal.

It's a difficult question to answer because we don't know what we'd be getting back.

But in the abstract, I'd say Avdija has the most potential to be something far better in the future than he is now, so he is the guy most likely to be undervalued in a trade at the moment. So I guess I'd say Avdija.

I'm thinking Deni, Gafford and Rui are Shepp's three "pillar" pieces going forward, as all three are "his" guys, and all three are high-upside guys rn.

Yup. They're both foundational defensive pieces.

And I think Deni can get there offensively. Just gonna take time and a lot of work.

Right -- it's impossible to answer in this form. Every player is available in a trade -- it's just a question of what's on offer, what the deal it.

A great angle on the issue!

So then, the next question is: who is the guy on our team most likely to be overvalued in a trade at the moment?

That's the guy you want to trade, right?

So... in that case, here's a related question which might be even more useful to ask:

What players on other teams around the league are most likely to be undervalued in a trade? Let's say the top 10.

Agree with the votes. Gafford needs to be more consistent but overall very crucial. Relevant to Deni as well. Harrell as well important.

Harrell likely to be most valued by a contender. But what would a contender give

His value to a contender got crushed because of his rep as a poor playoffs defender. I think he'd have more value to a team that's just trying to make the playoffs.

Yup. If we decide to move toward a rebuilding direction, I'd start shopping Harrell to Charlotte, Sacramento and Minnesota.

Beal seems like the obvious answer, but at this point when you remove emotion from the equation there's really not a one player that's off limits.

This franchise has been kicking the can down the road since the terrible 2016 offseason and isn't any closer to contention than they've been since Wall's rookie season.

On Beal, see his comments below. Isn't he self aware of his awful performance to date? If I was Terd&Tommy, I would be saying to him: "dude you are not even worth $30mn/year at your current level of production, so man up, improve and then we'll see how much you are worth".

Gafford, Rui, or Deni. Rui is 3 cuz we don't know what we are gonna get when he's back and deni and gafford are on the same level here but I would give deni the edge cuz he's still on his rookie deal.

None of those guys are players worth building around.

If the right offer comes along you pounce on it.
