Mobley is so good defensively that they're actually getting away with playing Lauri at the 3  Even Okoro looks like he fits in with that jumbo lineup.

I think Jarrett Allen has been more of a factor for them than Mobley. Allen has been a beast

Allen has played great, but their defense is honestly a bi-product of Mobley right now. Their opponents have a better ORTG when Allen is on the floor and a bigger offensive gain when Mobley is off the court than when Allen is off, his versatility allows them to get away with a lot, whether it's playing zone or putting him on guys like Tatum.

Those aren't really telling stats in the grand scheme since it doesn't show who is on the floor for the opposing team during those rotation changes. But I do like Mobley at the 4 and with Allen being the interior presence it allows Mobley to roam free safety and just use his length to disrupt.

But I think Allen has been getting overlooked significantly and the dude has just been killing it this year

Ahem

I guess more people than I recall didn’t want us to draft Rowan at 3. I will admit, however, that while I liked what little I knew of Garland, he had injury concerns with that knee and he had missed most of that college season, as I recall. We couldn’t afford a miss just like we couldn’t afford it with Michale Porter Jr. and his lower back issues (he’s going to miss the rest of the season due to back again).

As I recall, I really wanted Hunter who came off an NCAA tournament MVP after leading Virginia to the championship.

That was considered the "3 player draft". Folks really really underrated that draft, overlooking guys like Garland, Tyler Herro, Jordan Poole. I remember Jarret Culver had some hype but he's been a complete bust

Wow we are at .500 yet only 11th in the East. Would be both hilarious and sad at the same time if we can’t even make the play-in. Looking forward to seeing our 10th pick look great sitting on the bench or watching him get traded for a future protected first.

Not to worry, Scott Perry will be promoted to POBO by then.

Warriors defense is stifling. Draymond is easily DPOY up to this point. Wiggins also deserves to be on an All Defense team with the way he's been locking up

vogel has completely lost his mind regarding the rotations.
he starts 5 non shooters and then plays melo, ellington and monk at the same time.
And now he plays either AD AND dwight or non of them most of the time.
I know the roster is flawed, but this is a poor coaching job.

the bigger problem is still the roster construction, but the rotations are not rocket science.
- just play AD at the 5, dwight as the backup.
- have at least two shooters out there all the time
- stagger Westbrook/Lebrons minutes
these are no brainers, but vogel can't get it done right now.

Tough to know the locker room situation. The natural thing to do is stagger as many Westbrook minutes as possible. The issue is Westbrook/Dwight combo is less than ideal so you need Davis at that time spot. How do you do this? You almost have to let Lebron spend more time with reserves but that would mean no rest for him in first and third.
