We hired an ex-agent as POBO just as we entered a 5-year period where no superstar wants out.

You can't make this stuff up. Typical Knicks.

Rose isn't a basketball savant, or an analytics expert. He has no expertise, besides a network of relationships that would've been useful in a different time period. I never understood why people ever had faith in this front office - it always seemed like wishful thinking to me.

Thibs is a basketball Republican. He's not going to experiment or innovate. He's predictable and risk averse.

We shouldn’t blame the players. The mistakes happened before any personnel move. These two hires put us on a path to mediocrity.

We just don't have good decision-makers.

It was one of the worst **** signings the guy is useless he can't do anything. Can't rebound, catch catch, doesn't intimidate, can't guard big guys 1 on 1.... He can hit ft's whoopdedoo

It's Knicks tradition to give FO one more leash before Dolan snaps his finger.

This!

Gotta have something.

Is this draft any good? This past draft sure was.

Bad news is it isn’t a strong draft for point guards.

The narrative in a lot of sports media is how Dolan keeps firing guys, and how that makes the Knicks unstable.

It's not true.

He's generally right when he does fire guys, besides Grunwald.

He's always wrong when he hires guys. That's the problem.

I know it's only semi-related to your post but I wanted to mention this.

yep. he might do a better job himself than the guys he hires. dolan, strangely enough, is the only gm to successfully get a difference maker here in melo. he knew it wasn't worth it to back out of the deal over moz.

I see people eyes starting to open up on Randle lol. Last year he was Simply making the shots but nothing has changed, he’s just missing. Last year was ISO Randle all year. This year the energy and defense is not there.

That playoff performance was who he is.

RJ is taking a step back but at least he’s not chucking.

Idk what to say at this point. Team refuses to play together on both ends. It looks like Isiah Thomas roster construction. Okay

Thibs 3 center rotation making it 4v5 for another year lol. Not to mention no motion on offense. It’s 100% on Thibs for allowing this garbage. Oh well, at least trading deadline would be interesting.

Last 5 games, been less and less.

There's really no point.
The team sucks.
The roster construction is a mess.
They are capped out for 2 more years.
Maybe a trade deadline deal NEXT year happens.
The team is boring, with no compelling young players to root for.
I guess I could look forward to watching another 55+ games of lackluster effort and mediocrity, but I think I'll pass.
I'll still post here to mock the Knicks though.
You aren't getting rid of me that easily!
This FO turned out to be worse the Steve Mills and I thought that wasn't possible but Dolan manages to surprise me every 2-3 years.

RJ's regression is the most disappointing part of the season so far. If he had taken a step forward from last year we'd be in a decent spot. He looked on his way to being a modest star. This is not good.

discovered something in Atlanta with the all kids lineup and then ignored it. that's what is so frustrating. At this point I'm pining for Sims and I'm not even talking about Jericho. call rokas, onion jam. anything

Remember last week we blamed Kemba for having the worst offense and defense when he was on the court?
