The problem starts with Dolan who mandates that the Knicks need to remain competitive rather then do a full rebuild. It’s always a quick fix/rebuild on fly/try to be competitive plan to try to keep seats filled rather then a real long term rebuild. It’s just harder to pull off.

so then tank. there's 2 things that make sense in this league. those are the 2 things. okc is a little small market team, they need the money more, but they know it's dumb to try to win without a franchise player on the roster. so they don't.

When I watch this team, I see a whole lot of problems. Unfortunately as Thibs tenure continues, I see him as a part of the problem. He does well his first year via over achieving (e.g. Here and Minnesota) and then there is a fall off. I think (most) players get tired of it tbh. And to add to that, he is also very stubborn and slow to adapt. I give him LOADS of credit for removing Kemba though btw. I'm just afraid Thibs is gonna lose the players, especially with the team as constructed, speaking of:

RJ doesn't fit with Randle and fits better with the bench.
Fournier isn't a bad player but I think his lack of defense and lack of fit and chemistry with Julius is a problem.
Julius is extremely talented but plays stupid at important times. Maybe he just needs a number 1 to play behind? I like him, but he frustrates me too often. From him slacking on defense to plowing into double teams.
Mitch is a bit lumbering with the weight. He was a better player last year but now he can hold his ground but I prefer a move of around 75% back to where he was at, weight wise last year. Just too slow and bumbly now.
Burks as a stop gap at PG. That position is for Deuce and we might as well start giving him minutes there because we are not getting past the first round with these lineups.

Grimes needs more minutes, we all can see that right?

Bench mostly looked crappy tonight as well.
