since RJ thinks he doesn’t need to practice anymore and is too busy launching the made different clothing line to work on his shot maybe a Thibs should be fair and give some of his minutes to Knox, I know he is a good kid and works hard

rj is putting up a 10 PER in year three. this is going nowhere

Dolan gave them the green light to tank for Zion.

Which was absolutely the right move.

The Knicks got unlucky at the lottery (as they always do because they are cursed), missed out on two generational prospects and made the wrong pick at #3 (RJ over Garland).

Then they missed out on KD and Kyrie.

That summer will forever live in infamy. It set this franchise to fail for at least a decade.

PS: Big picture I agree with you though. But I think Dolan is scarred by this public humiliation.

Dolan did put his trust into Mills, but that in itself was a horrible decision. Mills had no business running a team. I don't think they were trying to intentionally tank. Mills plan was to try to be competitive but the Knicks were horrible so they had to pivot, which was fine. But in the grand scheme they had no real plan
Play the middle and keep the Garden sold out.

The Garden is sold out even when we win 23 games. There’s no correlation there.

The Bulls have 2 All-Star guards....one of which the Knicks could have signed. Yet we're stuck with Fournier, racking up losses and playing poor defense. :banghead:

Knicks haven't had an all star guard since Allan Houston n Spree.

Is getting an All-star level guard really 18 years type difficulty level? Really?

So he threw Kemba under the bus, first, now it’s RJ…

but Julius will always get a free pass

yeah I would take Thibs more seriously if he started calling out his "star" player for consistently dogging it on the defensive end and jogging back on defense when he turns the ball over.

Maybe we will get lucky and omicron shuts down the season so we can not have to watch this trash anymore and also get a top 10 pick

You can't make this stuff up. Typical Knicks.

Rose isn't a basketball savant, or an analytics expert. He has no expertise, besides a network of relationships that would've been useful in a different time period. I never understood why people ever had faith in this front office - it always seemed like wishful thinking to me.

Thibs is a basketball Republican. He's not going to experiment or innovate. He's predictable and risk averse.

We shouldn’t blame the players. The mistakes happened before any personnel move. These two hires put us on a path to mediocrity.

We just don't have good decision-makers.

We had to go through this so Dolan can finally see his CAA buddies ain't sh*t.

As many posters predicted this is a treadmill team at best. My biggest disappointment is RJ. I expected him to breakout this year and it's not happening. Kid plays hard plays good defense he just is slow and can't jump. He gets the most out what he has athletically. It is what it is.

I didn't expect RJ to break out this year. Wanted to see improvement. He came out of the gate looking much improved. Then the whole team started to drop off basically. Hopefully the kid bounces back. The team is a mess and I'm not gonna give up in the youth during this mess.

The FO better come up with a solution to the PG problem because the answer is not currently on the roster. If he is it must be the kid in Westchester.

on the one hand I feel vindicated that the Knicks are what I thought they were, on the other, it's f*cking depressing that they can't build a sustainable winner. that's why I've always wanted to have a full rebuild, no skipped steps

I'm kinda rooting for the wheels to fall off and for them to sell; including and especially Randle since he's the best asset

That isn't true. Sellout streaks ended in 2015 and 2017. We had regime changes shortly after.

Maybe your right bc I didn’t check the numbers but the Knicks don’t lose money. We don’t have to worry about putting fans in the seats even in during our worst seasons.it’s the Mecca.
