Do you think OKC is a dumb team? because it's the only way they would trade Shai for Bum Simmons and fillers.

Honestly, i dont buy the SGA hype. Not really athletic and with an awkward shooting form. Not that good of a passer either based on his stats.

I also dont see any reason for OKC to trade him unless they think the same.

In any case, i doubt they want Simmons.

In terms of most to least likely y'all want traded. You could throw Milton or Reed in as well.

Milton
Thybulle
Reed

For the hundred millionth time: it would be a three team deal.

Utah Jazz are much better than us and a non factor in the playoffs as they lack perimeter defence

Trading Simmons & Thybulle for anything less than a Harden won’t cut it

SGA is much less than Harden

At this point OKC has no legit shot creating talent outside of SGA. They have a lot of picks, but aside from their own, those picks are not likely to be that good. Unless Shai indicates that he doesn't want to go through this rebuilding process (unlikely since he just signed a new contract), I don't see any reasons why the Thunder would trade him, he's exactly the kind of player they're assembling picks for.

So apparently Lillard has expressed his desire to play with Simmons. Since he's basically running the entire organization at this point, they might attach significant (draft) compensation in a desperation move.

Perhaps a CJ + Simons + 1st round pick for Ben and Shake?

A deal around short Tobias Harris should not and would not ever work.

Morey should milk Portland for all they’re worth. Get McCollum and multiple unprotected first round picks so when the Blazers experiment implodes, we get top talent for the foreseeable future.

CJ takes 8 to 9 threes a game, I don't see how he's comparable to Tobias.

CJ contract makes him at best a neutral asset. No thanks.

McCollum is one of the 30 players Morey would accept? I don't buy this unless the Blazers tie it to draft control.

McCollum has exchanged a big chunk of his midrange shots for three pointers. Now roughly doubling the attempts of Harris.

That said, McCollum is probably not a legit 2nd option on a contender, let alone the primary option. So it will help us in the meantime to stay competitive, but we have to acquire more assets in the trade to make future moves.

Getting CJ would make us a lot deeper on the wings, but we would have too many short defenders on a team that also has Niang and Tobias as PFs, that's a bad combination. It would also increase the problem of playing Mattise as teams would switch Mattise for CJ, Seth or Shake to death.

Hilariously we need some kind of 3&D guy besides a playmaker right now or at least lenght

I’m a POR fan and I’d give more for Simmons than this.

A previously rumored discussed deal of CJ, Covington, and a 1st round pick would be a sufficient return IMO. We'd need another wing defender in Cov and CJ gives us a legitimate dynamic 2nd option on offense.

Do we keep Seth Curry if we're getting McCollum? Would Doc even allow a trade of Curry?!?

Maxey + McCollum backcourt will still get exploited big time on defense.
