Doubt it would help, but he is right.
I'd say it's pretty easy for simple confusion to look a lot like lack of effort, and if what's happening on the floor is confusion, that's on Billups. And I think some of this is confusion
I really think Billups has come in and is trying to force some square pegs into round holes; on both ends of the floor. He didn't have to implement 100% of his new defense immediately. he could have installed 30% as an experiment to see what parts fit his personnel. But this was the risk Olshey took when he hired a guy that had less than a year of coaching experience, on any level, to be the head coach
