If even any of the basis of that report is all true, there's a big leap from legislation that isn't perfect and should be fixed to it's horrible and an evil plot. There very well be some bad consequences in the bill, and there is almost assuredly some manipulation of the numbers by people to scam money. What that doesn't mean, and certainly doesn't prove, is that any significant amount of COVID cases and deaths are fraudulent, or that the government made this up.

Austria to put people in jail for not taking the jab

The government said it was preparing the legal groundwork for a general vaccine mandate to come into effect from 1 February, with exemptions for those unable to receive a jab on medical grounds.

The age from which people will be required to be vaccinated has not yet been determined, the government said.

Those refusing to be vaccinated are likely to face administrative fines, which can be converted into a prison sentence if the fine cannot be recovered.

MBFC as been rated highly by other fact checkers and there are a couple of simple false claims in those links but that's as deep as I care to go on it, I don't have a vested interest in MBFC other than finding them to be ONE reliable resource. I use the MBFC source to point out DDB's site being a conspiracy site but anyone can read the wording they use in their title and see it for themselves, it's no mystery. It's Weekly World News level **** that feeds into confirmation bias. We're all subject to confirmation bias which is why I like my neutral, dry Reuters info and why really dislike CNN despite having a strong progressive lean, I find bias sites that feed into my preconceptions more dangerous than bias sites that annoy them. I don't know what Van Zandt may or may not have CFR ties means? but may or may not doesn't mean a lot to me either way. I may or may not have ties to alien life forms. It's not a false statement.

In general, I think you rely on anecdotal evidence too much. "I wouldn't go to the hosptial" doesn't mean other unvaccinated people with COVID wouldn't. It's widely reported that hospitals have seen surges due to covid and turned away care for non-covid patients. The fact that you wouldn't or don't know anyone that has had it, etc, is irrelevant.

I don't think he factors anything in, never mind evidence. And he'd be the first to go to the hospital with a bad case of a tickle in his anus or too many dingleberries.

I do not like it, but I would institute it if the **** hits the fan even harder as I am afraid is going to happen & cases, hospitalizations & deaths climb even higher - because of the fertile milieu provided by the unvaccinated.

Ironically, in those who have already survived Covid, vaccination would give them a level of protection greater than the vaccinated who have never been infected.
