You ever notice that every time DDJ is playing and the put the camera on him, the dude is completely drenched in sweat? Credit to him undersized but giving 110%. He deserves some praise

Team effort but Zach looked like prime Derrick Rose tonight. Dude was splitting double teams and slashing defense like butter.

BTW was thinking about how much better the NBA is without the stupid touch fouls. Anybody else feel like 2011-2019 was a dark age of the Lebron and then Durant super teams? On top of that, we had these already gifted players with cheat-code super teams getting about 10-20 FTs a game from the zebras, making it more impossible than impossible to beat them.
Now that Harden, Trae and Lebron don't get free ref assists every night, the league is open... and defensive guys like Lonzo, Ayo and Caruso can actually play some beautiful defense. I do wonder whether this talented defensive backcourt would have to work a lot harder with foul trouble in prior seasons. They play really skilled, clean defense, but even then, it's a different story when you know that there's about a 90% chance of getting 4-5 whistles if you happened to defend a star a little tighter.
I absolutely agree. I’m happy the refs have swallowed their whistles this year.

Couldnt watch the game, but daaaamn, what a beautiful surprise! Great work Bulls!
Without Caruso, DeMar, Green, White, Williams!
We really really have to consider trading W&W for power forward I think, this team is ready to compete this season with one or two more guns added on trade deadline.
Ayo - steal of the draft and ROY candidate!!

8 man rotation but that's all he had. Not much of a choice. We are depleted. Covid and injuries. Hope we get most of our guys back soon.

Bring Jokic to Chicago. Twin Nikola Towers.

Re: PG:Team Effort
Man that was a really fun game. I guess one of my favorite things is I’m starting to see these guys games inspiring each other I think over the last few weeks Ball has put in a lot of effort on his midrange game and I think Zach is really starting to emphasize it too and I wonder if it has to do with DD. Also I noticed one of the effective ways we get the ball to Vuc is a bounce pass at the free throw line and it started with Ball and Caruso but now it really is a great play for Vuc and Zach and it’s allowed Zach to be one of the better people feeding Vuc because he draws so much pressure. I also would credit the way both DD and Vuc have been playing D and that was an impressive defensive performance from Vuc but where I guess I’m going with all of this is Vuc had a couple amazing fullcourt passes that just looked like he was Ball out there and it was pretty shocking. Kind of reminded me of Kevin Love that guy could throw some amazing fullcourt passes so I don’t know if this is something Vuc had but I haven’t seen much of it so far but it looks amazing if he can continue. I’ve noticed a few of our other guys really looking up the court too Ayo had that great fullcourt pass to Zach granny style lol. But if we can get multiple players thinking like that and making that kind of passes we are really going to steamroll teams in transition.
In a related note I really loved seeing Zach split the defenders and hit DJJ for the open dunk that was just a great read at such a fast speed (DJJ also made a nice cut) and I already mentioned I like how he’s been unlocking his midrange lately but this game he was really just unstoppable attacking them so I like how he’s recognizing it and not letting up. That whole third quarter was just impressive and really seemed to be the turning point in the game. When he’s going off you just get this sense that the other team knows there isn’t anything they can do about it.
Ayo has just been amazing since the preseason and I’ve been like worried I’d get too overhyped on the guy and he just keeps getting me more hyped. I like how this kid is making decisions and reads in real time he’s already doing a great job processing the game and making the right play and it’s really surprising to see it in a rookie. Then just the balance in the kids game he can shoot, pass, defend and attack the basket, doesn’t seem to hurt you with mistakes and seems to have a knack for big momentum swinging plays. I’m still trying not to get too hyped about the guy lol.
Vuc again I was really impressed with his D, coming to help or playing Jokic straight up I’m just really impressed with it and his passing is great. I feel like we are doing a better job of getting him the ball but I still don’t think we are getting him the ball in the best places for him to succeed I don’t think any of our guys are really used to playing with a post player but strangely Ayo seems like the best guy on our team at feeding the post and I think Zach may start to pick it up because he can draw a lot of pressure on drives and leave the ball for Vuc. Overall they either get him the ball where he has to take a quick shot or make a quick move and it seems like Vuc is better if he gets the ball and gets a chance to create a shot for himself or pass out of it and we never really give time for that to happen. I feel like if we could do a better job of that it would unlock our half court offense which will take this team to another level.
I think overall our halfcourt offense looks better I think we are still overpassing too much but it is a lot better than it’s been and a lot of guys look more comfortable taking the shot. I think now it’s just a few times a game I wish someone would have taken the shot. Also the movement and passing looks a lot more comfortable and consistent. I don’t think these guys are really running advanced stuff out there but they seem to at least be running it effectively which is great. I think Donovan made the right prioritization getting the D and transition O and D basically dominant out of the gate and took time to develop the half court offense. I think we still have a long way to go here but the scary thing for the league is every bit of improvement the team makes on offense makes us dominant and this team still has such a long way to go there with Zach DDR and Vuc when these guys figure it out that offense should be tough to beat.
Really fun game though and that team is tough so I’m really glad our guys didn’t let up and just put the game away they kept trying to claw back and Jokic sees the game so well it was just fun to watch these two teams go at it. Also felt like you could see a bit of a similarity in the teams so maybe a bit of the AK effect. Also really like Gordon’s game he’s really fun to watch.

1 thing been thinking about , what if Vooch added the Duncan - elbow bank - in jumper to his Arsenal ?
That was kind of the unstoppable shot that helped anchor their offense while they cruised to titles.
Vooch shoots wing jumpers all the time . Makes me wonder if would be more efficient if he started banking them ?

What 2 week stretches? With those guys at best they were good game, bad game, good game, bad game.

Lmao, that's great
What does Vuc need to keep Team Jokic happy in Counter Strike? we need to hire gaming coach for Vuc, we want Vuc to be one of Joker's main guy in that team.

Let's go.

I am hesitant to get excited that Vooch would actively be recruiting his replacement. Don’t think he’d be able to slide down to 4.

I'll tell ya, it's pretty crazy impressive that AKME has managed to make this roster out of the poo-poo platter they were served just 18 months ago. The only good piece they inherited was Zach. And hell, half this board hated pre-Donovan Zach

Maybe in a couple years he woukd be willing to be the man off the bench at that point.

It wouldn't hurt to sell Jokic about the city and the organization for future reference.

Re: PG:Team Effort
Well, we all know Vooch & Zach actively recruit and let's be real, we know Arturas is probably already working on this.
When is Jamal Murray coming back? Is MPJ ever going to play again?
Bulls #1 (tied) in the east with two super wings? Jokic would win 60 games a year with those two.
I don't see AK using Vooch as another recruitment tool then kicking him out in 2023.

Re: PG:Team Effort
1. If DJJ keeps playing like this he's gonna steal the starting 4 spot from Green.
2. I really do think we could be a legit possibility for Jokic. We're a good team - that will be enticing, but Chicago has one of the biggest Serbian populations in the country. I've posted this before here, but the Nuggets game is always one of my favorite games to attend every year. The UC doesn't need help getting electric this year, but over the past 5 crappy season, it was always a night you knew there'd be some energy in the building due to Serbian-Chicagoans coming out to watch Jokic. You could see on the broadcast last night the couple right near the Nuggets bench with the Serbian flag - based on my experience of attending previous Nuggets games in Chicago - that's one of a dozen to two dozen serbain flags that were waving in the UC last night.
Years and years of that treatment by the fans when visiting the United Center may play a small part (money and winning I'm sure will be the primary motivators), but it is another aspect we can use to recruit/sell Jokic on the team.
