Stacey... I PROMISE to NEVER Watch Jill Scott perform live basketball analysis if you'll agree to let her handle singing for Nationwide.

Slash Brothers is money, and Vucci Mane is an A+ nickname. He also had a killer snide remark the other night about the Bulls defending themselves on a screwed up fast break.

Dude is funny. It's just beyond me that people can be so annoyed by him. I have absolutely zero doubt that either he's read this thread or someone from the Bulls organization brought him some takeaways from this thread. Real bummer.

Even though Wennington is pretty much Meh. I enjoyed this broadcast so much more. Even Amin has good not having to suck up to King all night.

Man, Wennington likes to talk about how guys should play defense even more than Stacey does, which is a lot. So ironic, because Stacey and Bill were both bad defenders. Defense is why Stacey didn't play, and while Wennington got limited minutes even though he had size and a good jump shot.

Wennington was like the dad that tries to act cool in front of your friends.

I never want to hear him say "booyah" ever again to ruin an incredible play that I can no longer watch on repeat unless muted.

i thought wennington was great. maybe some annoying tendencies would reveal themselves with prolonged exposure, but a chill color guy is good energy for an 82 game nba season, imo. especially when amin can cover any requisite "get hyped" responsibilities on his own

Surprisingly enjoyable presentation tonight. The groan-inducing catch phrases and homerism of Stacey was a relief to avoid. Why can't we hire an actual talent? Do we really have to embarrass ourselves for another who season with a guy like Stacey who sounds like he just grabbed the mic at a high school basketball event for the first time in his life? Cringe worthy broadcasting at its finest. Make sure to keep this idiot on the payroll Reinsdorf.

Stacey is the type of guy you really only appreciate when he's not around. He would've been going **** during the 4th quarter of the Nuggets game and it would've made all the good moments that much more memorable. Even with all his tired old sayings, he still does come up with new stuff that's pretty funny. That Kelly Oubre-Ric Flair thing made me laugh so hard I almost sharted.

I didnt mind Wennington's more laid back / goofy commentary one bit. Amin does a good enough job with energetic playcalls. I wasn't rolling my eyes constantly like I do with Stacey's incessant nit-picking about how he'd coach the team or how players need to be playing. And I'm with many of you folks that are pretty tired of his singing and atrocious voices. Honestly I'd like if he were a third color commentary guy and they just made sure he really only contributed as a fantastic hype man, and let Wennington talk hoops.

Those are my quarrels with Stacey, not his antics. In fact, I kinda like his antics. But he acts as if he has this game all figured out, when in reality he was a low BBIQ player. I don't want to hear from a guy who couldn't figure out how to stay on an NBA court about how players who are better than he ever was are doing things wrong.

I understand this sentiment but to his credit as well, didnt he win a title as a coach in the CBA as well? His knowledge of the game goes beyond his accomplishments, both good and bad. I think he makes fair points more often than not. They're not extremely thorough or in depth. And can often feel lazy given how simple they are. But I think the simple answer is correct a fair amount of time.

I didn't realize he had the covid. So him and DeMar and Coby all out with it now.
Wonder if they were hanging on last road trip in NY.

I think he's great, broadcast was flat last night without him. He's got character.
I like his podcast as well, wish I had more time to listen to it. I'm trying to find time for Jason Goffs too.

Ken "Hawk" Harrelson. A true titan of the industry. Although, Stacy isn't and will never be on his level. Hawk is the absolute GOAT, and he is missed during his retirement.

Goff was absolutely HORRENDOUS when paired with Bernstein on the radio. Talk about all time bad radio. He's still cringe when he goes on 670 the score IMO. But he's much better in his current role.

Adam Amin has some hornets announcer in him. I like how excited he gets on the highlight plays before they develop.
