This really is gonna go down as one of those legendary drafts, there are so many good players in this cohort.

If Cade would start getting to the line he would probably already be a 20ppg scorer.

He is a very impactful dude. May not be a star guaranteed, but he is at minimum a high level contributor in the future. OKC gifting him away is comical.
I haven't seen all of his games, but the ones I've seen he's been playing mainly against backups. Just think of the numbers the top rookies would be getting if they played against bench players.

Crazy Cavs schedule has Mobley hitting a clear wall of exhaustion tonight. Legs look very tired on this back to back. May be an opening for other rooks to bridge the gap.

Wagner with 15/4/6/3 steals tonight. Another solid night even though the team sucked.

Ayo has the ability to be top 5 from this draft as a second rounder. His first start last night, he put up 11/8/6 on excellent efficiency. HE is currently on a team when he is at best the 6th Option, and yet he is making a tremendous impact every second he is on the floor.

IF he keeps this up for the year he's got a case to win the ROTY
He's got the advantage of being a 25% usage player and the #1 or 1B option (Grant and Cade have been pretty equal thus far in FGAs). He is going to for sure lead all rookies in scoring because position on the team, BUT Mobley's winning and defensive impact will give him a strong case versus Cade. Barnes is kind of in the middle of those two as well.
Pretty much a 3 player race for ROY moving forward unless a dark horse candidate emerges.
Unless he hits a shooting slump, Cade should average 20+ PPG each month for here on out.

Oddly enough, I found his game last night to be a bit lacking (not as aggressive) compared to a lot of others earlier in the season when he was better overall but the stats weren't nearly as gaudy. It just goes to show how useless it is to look at stats without context.
Either way, early on but this has the look of a beast of a draft as was expected after years of hype as a potential generational draft.

Bouknight and JT Thor both got meaningful minutes for the first time over their last couple of games. Last night, they both showed promise and elite athletic ability.
Nice that we can finally post some things from the Charlotte rookies! BTW, both Thor and Bouknight had their first NBA buckets in this game. The above dunk is Thors first NBA bucket (poster on Drummond)

Obviously his stats would have to raise quite a bit.
Cade has the chance of putting up 20+ points on good-very good efficiency if his shot has returned which would put him as the clearly best offensive player in the draft this year.
At the moment, Barnes has been the best offensive player in the draft, but not enough to overcome Mobley's defensive impact.
I do think Cade can put up high volume scoring to go along with high efficiency to close that gap, but time will tell.
Basically i'm saying I think Cade can have the stats to be clearly the best offensive player in the draft. barnes and Mobley have been good-very good depending on how you view them but Cade's scoring game is probably much more refined.
Time will tell.

* Cade has now same pts per game as Mobley and not far behind Barnes.
* In rebounding Cade probably will never catch up to Mobley or even Barnes.
* In assists Cade is already well ahead of Barnes and Mobley.
In last 3 games Mobley is averaging 12 shots, Barnes is averaging 11 shots while Cade is averaging 17 shots. So in couple of weeks Cade should surpass Barnes as best pts per game.
Barnes team has 3 NBA champion players so those players will get more shots than him by default. Earlier Barnes was able to showcase his offensive game because one of those 3 player was always hurt. But soon they will all play together and Barnes will shoot even less probably under 10.
Mobley does not have that issue so he should get 12 shots minimum. But his offensive game is not refined as Cade's.
I think Cade will soon become favorite for ROY.

I know hindsight is everything, but looking back on the Vucevic trade, do you think the Bulls do that trade knowing the could have had Wagner instead? I get Chicago is in win now mode but keeping Wagner and grabbing a cheaper C woulda made for a nice mixed age squad.

Yea Wagner and Carter jr would have been a solid front line for them but do they get Demar this summer if they don't have a solid "win now" foundation in place?
