wont be surprised to see bouk go to swarm once terry comes back, at least for few games.

I have a feeling that Kelly Oubre wasn’t planned and that’s now the reason why we have our very serviceable rookie on the bench now.

He obviously isn't going to get burn with us. Him and Kai need to head down to the Swarm for the season

I'm pretty sure in some way, some how, it's Steve Clifford's fault.

Plus it probably wasn't expected that Cody would take a leap. And with our defense being so bad, Cody has become that much more valuable to the team.

JB likes to keep a tight rotation anyway. Even Ish doesn't get PT anymore since Terry came back and he was playing good

Good points. I have a feeling that we see Bouk and Kai go to g-league in the next couple days, at least for a little while. They’re rotting away on the bench until/unless someone gets injured.

Obviously they've performed worse than expected in practice since they were drafted. There's no way they wouldn't have got a few minutes here and there if they were pulling weight in practice.

Bouknight might be good enough to play if we had less quality guards, but he's probably not lighting it up in practice or else he'd be out there. I do think he could get his points at this stage, but probably not more of a plus for the team than Ish, Martin or Oubre so I don't have any issue with JB slow walking it. I could imagine Bouknight getting dropped into the rotation in the second half of the season just to see how he looks when JB feels like shaking things up a bit.

Kai is not remotely ready at all based on the G-league and preseason. He's tons of fun to watch because he's so athletic but he's insanely raw. I don't expect anything from him this year, even if we had a bad run of C injuries Mitch would probably pick a vet off the street (Biz) before we'd give Kai regular minutes.

Happy to see Bouk get sent to Swarm. Hope they give him more than just a game or 2.

Ok?? Is this so they can be on the bench tonight for the hornets and then go back to swarm tomorrow? Maybe they wanted them to get a practice session in too.

My guess is the FO is trying to win and playing Rozier is more conducive to that.

It isn't necessarily a BAD thing that your new pick doesn't get force fed minutes. It speaks to quality depth at the position. We can't argue "draft for talent, not need" then complain about it on the back end.

Bouk could be doing well in practice for all we know. Fact is there is no minutes for him right now. He's not playing over Rozier, Martin, or Oubre.

Great to see Bouk getting quality PT and results. He has REALLY good potential. I would hesitate to trade him.

Agree. I’m really hoping that he has earned some time in the rotation. At least get him in games to see how he’s going to play that night, and if he’s hot and on, leave him in the game. Off nights maybe he only gets a few minutes. Until he cracks the rotation 100% of the way in that is.
