Myles Turner is an elite shotblocker and is 1st in block% and does pretty much hold up Indy's iffy defense who has Sabonis and Levert not doing too much on that end. Turner is also 9th in box-outs. So for a poor defensive rebounding team, he'd also help.

I'd do Siakam for Turner in a heartbeat because he adds something different to Toronto which we lack with Pascal. No offense to Siakam's contributions, but having a stretch five who defends like Turner is a perfect fit for the way Toronto wants to play. We don't have to play the overlapping forwards like we do at present.

The other consideration is another playoff team swooping in. Boston has always liked Turner and that would be a bigger headache for Toronto if they got better.

Toronto won a title in part because they had elite frontcourt defenders in Ibaka and Gasol. Turner offers a All-NBA first team defense type who will compliment FVV, OG and allows Scottie to extend himself a bit more.

If they are looking to rebuild I would imagine they are looking more at our Barnes, OG, GTJ group over the Siakam and FVV group.

Sabonis is a tweener who isn't good defensively. He plays a spot on the floor the Raps already have covered.

Lavert is a huge injury risk.

All of these guys would be short term solutions and the Raps are after long term solutions.
He is a good defender. Opponents shoot under 50% at the rim against him. He also has been guarding the perimeter more (adequately) as he's playing with Sabonis who guards centers. He' s probably about average offensively though. We don't need a 20 point scorer at centre though. Just someone who can rim protect and space the floor adequately. Not a great rebounder though. Siakam is worth way more than him, even at his salary imo, and I don't think they would want Trent as they have good SGs.

He's fine, but I'm really not interested in paying him 20-25 million a year which is what he's going to ask for after next year. He doesn't push the Raps any closer to championship contention.

I'm not convinced Precious can't eventually provide a similar impact at 10x less the cost. I'd rather just play and develop the young guys.

I'd only be interested in Turner and that's about it. LeVert has been fairly injury prone and not a huge fan of Sabonis.

Surprised the Pacers are struggling so much. They have some nice pieces.

Turner would fit the raptors like a glove. Not really interested in Lavert.

I just dont know how we can land Turner without a 3rd team being involved. Our prospects outside of Scottie, are mediocre to say the least.

Would ya'll be interested in giving up Precious to get Turner?

Interesting. Dangle Dragic and Boucher, both expiring, for Turner to them. Other wise, pass.

the real question is if the pacers are expecting a FRP. We are not in position to be giving up any at the moment unless it comes at massive salary cost and even then we wouldn't give up a pick.

Turner is ok, but he's so inconsistent offensively and defensively. Sabonis can't guard anyone and Levert is always hurt.

Sabonis is on a very fair contract...4 years 74m. Would be intriguing, however he is undersized center but would instantly become our best rebounder.

Dragic and Boucher doesnt work Salary Wise. Also, that package is garbage for a team who's looking to rebuild.

Dragic + Precious + Flynn + Draft Picks would work. Indy would Buy out or flip Dragic.

Still think the Pacers can easily get better offers from somehwere else

Turner is probably going to end up in Charlotte and Sabonis is trash. Don't see anyone in the league trading for him.

I don’t think we end up trading Siakam and Indy would probably want to go younger anyways, so that leaves Gary Trent Jr as the only piece that I think Indy would want from us that we may be willing to part with (Not giving up barnes or OG)

Like others, I wouldn't mind Turner even though he's too injury prone and that's a bad fit on a team that's already suffering from injuries to other players.

Also, if they are willing to trade to rebuild, they probably want young assets and I don't know who we'd give up that fits while beating other teams' offers. Maybe Precious and a protected first? One conditional first rounder is the most I'd give up in terms of pick assets.

I would consider moving Siakam if there are enough of other assets coming our way besides Turner but for the reported purposes of rebuilding, I don't see how they'd be willing to accept Siakam in a trade and I don't really see other assets of theirs that's enticing.

So in short, don't really see it happening but would be good to get for cheap.

Not really. Turner isn't cheap either, and he'll rarely if ever look like the best Raptor. I'd live with a swap centered around those two because it would balance our roster so much better, but we would 100% be giving up the better player and would likely be lowering our cieling in the short term.

Hell yes. I don’t think very highly of Precious as a prospect, and Turner would fit our team like a glove. The salaries don’t match though, and I’m sure that the Pacers could get a much better offer than one that has Precious as the centerpiece.

Goga Bitadze is probably the under the radar pickup I can see the raptors making. He has team option next year and you don't have to give up a pick to get him.

I could see Golden State being interested in Turner, they have some young pieces and are in win now mode.

Don't think Indy will trade with us - we are in a rebuilding stage ourselves and want to keep our young pieces and picks.

Warriors should trade 2 of Moody, Kuminga and Wiseman + picks to get Sabonis or Turner
