I don't really see a trade other than Dragic + Malachi Flynn + two 1st Round Picks. There's probably another team out there that beats that for Turner or Sabonis, but that's about as good as it gets from Toronto, I think.

Edit - for LeVert, I think Dragic and Toronto's 2022 1st Round Pick would add a scoring punch to the Raptors' bench.
I do not expect him to return a first round pick and if he does that would be a mistake to me

What about Dragic and Malachi Flynn for Caris LeVert?

That strikes me as more realistic and something Indy should take, but not sure why toronto wants to do that. LeVert is not a scorer, he's hit league avg efficiency for his position once his whole career and it was his rookie year. He can run PnR and pass well, but if you're looking for a guy to put the ball in the hoop, he's not great at that

I would be shocked if he did but the other piece coming back is a big negative overall. Dragic is expiring but not at all worth that contract.

Not sure why Toronto would want LeVert either way though.

Bench scoring would be the rationale to me. I also am not convinced this dip in play is permanent for LeVert considering he's coming back from cancer.
That's fair. I just wasn't totally sure on the fit but could see it. I

How close is Bledsoe/couple 2nds for LeVert? Pacers do this mostly as a salary dump. Clippers do it as LeVert can't be worse than Bledsoe and Ballmer can just keep writing big checks.

Would the Pacers be interested in Precious Achuwa in a deal involving Myles Turner?

I know you may they just cut Portland out - but I'm not sure how well Simmons fits in Brooklyn and feel McCollum would be a much better fit alongside Harden and Durant.

Oh, disagree on the Brooklyn part. I think Simmons and his ultra low usage, superior defense, positional flexibility, and playmaking make much more sense with Harden and Durant than another guy who needs a ton of shots, the ball in his hands, to be covered defensively, and is tied to a specific position in CJ.

You're probably right - I may have been focusing too much on the offensive side of the ball as I think Brooklyn would still have defensive issues even with a great defender like Simmons. On offense I fear Simmons would be "in the way" as where McCollum can compliment and do everything.

I still envision Brooklyn's path to winning to be winning shootouts and just overloading on offensive firepower and that's certainly factoring into my view on each players' fit.

Not terribly. Part of the reason, as Shams mentions, we might move a big is to clear minutes for Isaiah Jackson, whom we just drafted in the 1st round at Carlisle’s request. He pretty much fills that kind of role that Achiuwa would also fill in Indy. We also then still have Goga and Brissett at the 4 and 5, developmentally, along with Torrey Craig for the now.

Acquiring another developmental 4 is ok if they’re of a Kuminga type projection. Not really if an Achiuwa like projection.

Bledsoe fully expiring, right? If so, no argument from me.

No. He has a $3.9M partial guarantee for next year. So some dead money to eat.

Oh. Rather a Dragic instead. Especially if McConnell is out for the season. He’s at least out a LONG time.

I would prefer Dragic too; but, if Toronto wouldn't bite on that I would do Bledsoe as well.

Yeah pure expiring is better without question. No arguments from me either. I just had the Clippers as maybe more likely to add salary for a marginal player?

I'm sure you would, sneaking Brissett in there.

But no, no Brissett on the move. If there's a rebuild, there's no interest at all in moving Oshae.

I figured. What's the deal with Goga? It feels like there's no spot for him there, but it also feels like the Raptors with Nate Bjorkgren on the bench would still be worse.

Torrey Craig?

As filler?

It is possible/probable.

As a decent sized chunk of value in a trade?

Whatever value a third team would give for him would be very likely be more than what the Pacers would assign to him if they had to keep him for a while.

Right now, there's just no minutes. Sabonis and Turner start together, but generally there's always one on the court at any time, so chances for Goga are slim. But, with one being moved, there's immediately a major role for Goga to immediately step into and get 20 or so minutes a night. I don't know that Goga would love playing for the Raptors if Bjorkgren is around, but Nate is stepping away from the Raptors for awhile to cover Team Canada, right? But, I don't know if he had a major issue with Nate personally. He blew up at the assistant Greg Foster, last year, that was really the blowing of steam of our issues last year.
Torrey Craig?

He's been playing 16 minutes a night for us as a 3/4 guy, and pushing Brissett to compete. He's been really necessary with Warren's delayed return.

They have already done the patching thing twice with the trades for Covington and Nance. They are still stuck in the middle of nowhere.

I think that the CBA has the team that he is traded to having to pay his moving expenses.

I had Turner+LeVert for Siakam+Achiuwa as a fair trade.

But with McConnells injury I suspect Indy rather Malachi instead of Achiuwa. Or the above trade with Achiuwa routed to a third team for a PG
