Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
I don't love this class. It seems if you're not drafting top 6-8 theirs a big drop off in talent. Obviously I could be wrong, but if we're drafting in the 10+ range my early look - I'm probably taking Jokic or Kendall Brown.

They made some bold adjustments with Jabari Smith #1 and Jaden Ivey over Jaden Hardy but the most is Benedict Mathurin up to #6!
Raptors don't need to tank hard. Kendall Brown and Nikola Jovic are projected in the late teens.

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
we are basically in the worst of all worlds right now with this team being a play-in team and not getting a top 5 pick.
How ok will Fred and Pascal be sitting out the end of the season to tank again? Do they need to trade those 2 to achieve this?
This Front office is so freaking good at drafting that we need to take another shot again.

Some nice shots here.
He missed the last 2 games due to a suspension. He has played a handful of gleague games, has been very inefficient. But shows flashes of amazing shot making ability imo.

Does he remind anyone else of D'Angelo Russell?

He reminds me of Terence Davis with better ball handling funnily enough.

edit: with a much bigger wingspan.

More mobile than Boban plus Zach is more physical. Boban is too nice.
I would note what Jeff says at the end re: NBA style
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Re: Tank World Order (6.0)
I don't see us making it into the top 8 and sadly/ironically draft seems 8 deep lol so I'm just gonna pray that maybe AJ Griffin is our Booker, Mitchell, Herro type prospect that slides under the radar for one reason or the other.
In this case it was the injury but he looks like he's recovered and as a former projected top 5 pick, he's probably my early candidate to roll the dice on. Reminds me of Jimmy Butler (but was previously more athletic, might still be). As others have mentioned, father on the staff, will only create more of a family vibe in the locker room. We start grooming another SG since Svi is likely gone in year tops and personally still doubtful GT Jr is truly part of the long term plan while having a young prospect with all-star like potential or at least at one time was the projection. That's my early hopeful sleeper to us.

We will be very close to 8. We finish no better than 12th in the east imo so that's 9 or 10.
I think the Kings could make a push. Pacers too. They had a big win tonight. I believe 7-10 is where we will fall

But he doesn't look very good from the games I saw, and TBH he's had one good game all year- his 18 ppg breakout. What puts Griffin over the likes of Kendall Brown or Jovic other than pre draft hype?

It’s gonna take a lottery miracle like this past draft. That’s why we should at least aim for the 9th spot in the lottery because then we at least have like a 20 percent chance of getting to the top 4.
Unfortunately it looks like we’re pushing for mediocrity by playing guys 40 plus minutes to ensure victories for the potential to get destroyed in the first round.
Schedule gets tougher after next week so we’ll see.

Pacers are shutting it down via Shams
Turner / Sabonis / Levert all on the block. They're making tank moves
