Most blatant omissions: Carlos Arroyo and Wlamir Marques.

Its too hard to make a good list Like that, with best International players.

I would Like to see "UcanUwill" list of best 20 International players. His opinion.

Top 10

Hakeem
Dirk
Giannis
Jokic
Embiid
A. Sabonis
Luka
Petrovic
Pau
Nash

11-15th

Galis
Shcimdt
Ginobili
Ming
KAT

Then it gets blurry.

Almost perfect IMO, I would only add Bodiroga instead of KAT. Dejan was arguably the best player outside the NBA in 2002-2003.

You would need an essay to explain criteria for this to even begin to make sense.

First, is there really a divide between American and Canadian?
Second, European should be it's own category, players come from a common ground and often, if they don't make a jump asap, play together.
Third, players from NCAA and specially those that played HS in USA are basically homegrown too.

Yeah I agree, if Horford is international then why isn't Duncan? Don't give me that US citizen crap when Islanders don't even have the right to vote

For me international means the player learned to play abroad.

Edit- my bad, always thought Horford was Puerto Rican, but the general point is the same

Also noticed Argentina's 08 bronze isn't even registered for Manu and Scola.

"Though we factored in FIBA accomplishments some, we put way more stock on what players did while competing against the very best (that is, in the NBA)"

So pretty much "Top 75 greatest NBA players born outside USA". I'm going with "Good" then

When I think international player, I think of players that were born out of the US and didnt go through the usual domestic steps to becoming a NBA player. KAT was born and raised in NJ and lived there until he went to college in Kentucky.

But anyways that side the list seems pretty random and all over the place.

It’d be like having Carlos Boozer on the list because he was born in Germany. Doesn’t make sense. Towns was literally born in New Jersey. Or Ben Gordon that was born in England.

It's quite confusing to look at and then you see the honorable mention list and realize there are guys on there that were definitely better than guys that made the list.

Haha yup.

KAT: Born and raised in the US, never lived in a different country either than the US. International player
Kobe: Lived in Italy for 10 years from the age of 3 to 13. Domestic player

Makes a ton of sense...

Kukoc gave up a whole lot of what he could do because two of his teammates were top 20 all time players. His defense was underrated, if you didn't see him and Rodman taking on Shaq and frustrating him in the low post to no end you wouldn't understand

Andres Nocioni may not have put up the numbers but he played with more heart and grit than any other player on the lists

Pre injury Sabonis was an absolute monster. How in gods name can they put him so low?

Horford. Noah too high
Sabonis, Kukoc, AK too low

Waaaay too early to rank Luka

I feel Manu is definitely top 8 for sure, I'd take out Embid, Luka or Joker.

Galis at #66, while Giannis is at #3???

I would have posted the interview Giannis gave in summer, where he speaks about Galis if it was subtitled.
My dudes, this is pure blasphemy. Giannis himself would have punched in the face those that made that list.

There are many unbelievable picks on the list(Bodiroga at...#50?) but this one with Galis screams pure ignorance. Giannis wouldn't even play basketball without Galis.

Better not write anything if you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

JJ_PR wrote:Oscar Schmidt should be in the top 10. This list is a huge disrespect towards him. The guy scored 49,000 points in his overseas career & played until he was 45. Best player to not play in the NBA, ever. He would've been a superstar in this league for sure.

Players from the NBA have been quoted saying that "he's the first player ever that has made us question wether or not he's better than what we have".

Understandable.

But it's not NBA where he scored 49k.
