Toppin seems to be headed for major bust territory. Thibs does not play rookies, or young players, and Toppin does not seem able to get much PT there. I really don't much about how his nba game has gone, but he might be a guy that a change of scenery could do a good deal for. I don't know who we have that we could trade for him other than PWill or Coby.

Toppin:

PER: 19.2

PER 36: 18.8 ppg, 8.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 blocks

+/- +20.7

Thibs is just stubborn and this stat proves it. Toppin should be playing more.. but since he plays the same position as Julius Randle he’s relegated to 15 minutes tops if he’s lucky. And Thibs refuses to play them together because he insists on always having a rim protector in the paint.. it’s frustrating to say the least

Thibs is usually kind of coach where fans turn on certain players because they want others to get more minutes. And only way that is happening is by wanting to trade players. So you get in situation where you wanna trade Randle so Toppin gets more minutes instead where Randle and Toppin play similar amount of minutes.

I also dont think Toppin is even available for trade. Would be perfect target, but him being on rookie deal as lottery pick has value in league where Knicks simply aint trading guy like that unless they getting in package a star in return.

We should have just drafted Toppin instead Williams to begin with it.

If I'm Philly, I don't want McCollum('s contract).

Would much rather get a package around Simons + Little + Salary Filler + picks.

Simons seems a better asset to me than McCollum who is much older and is overpaid.

Doesn't really have anything to do with what you wrote, but I feel like I should note that I misread Woj's tweet. It was about McConnell, not McCollum.

Have you seen Toppin play? He can't shoot man. His per 36 and some advanced stats are propped up because he mostly plays in garbage time against scrubs -- and he's 24 in January. He doesn't look like anything more than a 10th man. So has pat, but pat has time on his side. Both players have physical talents you can't teach but as far as skill Pat is ahead and he's three years younger.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

If the Bulls could turn Patt, Cony and DJJ into Myles Turner, thatd be the bees knees.

I highly recommend this visual scoring chart from the General Board -

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2144856

The quick lessons -

1) The best 4 scorers in the league are exaclty who you figured, Jokic, Durant, Curry, and Giannis.
2) Zach and DeMar are the best scoring duo in the NBA.
3) Luka, Tatum, and Paul George are fake stars (for this year, that is).
4) Russ truly does suck.

Just LeBron doing LeBron things

https://theathletic.com/3002098/2021/12/06/all-of-lebrons-coaches-land-on-hot-seat-this-is-just-frank-vogels-turn?source=user-shared-article

"The contrast, nonetheless, is stark. James had an opportunity to ease the pressure on Vogel, something only he is capable of doing, and instead said, “Frank doesn’t care, and we don’t either, about what people are saying.”

Well, that mess of a team is the GMs fault. And we know damn well that LeBron is the Lakers GM.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Ernie Johnson's bold prediction was that we will make the Eastern Conference Finals.

If I’m Golden State, I’m doing what I can to bring Sabonis in. A trade centered around Wiseman going to Indy would be ideal for the Warriors. Sabonis next to Curry would be tough to stop…. And damn fun to watch

Hmmm strange but I want to give up something besides DJJ. He has the right spirit for this team. I get the premise though.

We don't need to or should we trade DJ. Coby+Patrick+Troy Brown make $18.4M, Turner makes $18M. We could also wait til Nov and trade Coby+Patrick+Alize. Coby & Patrick make a significant amount of money together.

Keeping DJJ would be ideal for sure. I'd just rather be sure to get the deal done. Maybe the potential of pat and Coby is enough. Itd seem to me that adding Brown jr would be more of a negative to the trade than a positive.

lmao NBA league pass showing a Derozan highlight package against the Knicks during the break in the Knicks game. Misery.

Honestly if they are blowing it up I think the FRP would be worth more for them. I'm kinda effe the two in the bush and more a one in the head. DJJ seems to fit here and he might not fit there I would rather sell them empty promises which actually fits their process now more than it does ours.

Kinda scary, but the Warriors do have a ton of chips to push into the middle if they choose. They should imo to capitalize on Steph’s remaining prime.

They also should because the Chicago Bulls are comin for them! :D
