6 weeks would be January 18th, a month before the all star break. Even if the Heat are super conservative Bam should be back before the all star break and hopefully the team as a whole will be poised for a big run in the last leg of the season. We have like 14 home games in March I believe, perfect time to make up ground.

Potter had 28-15 today but doesn’t he do the same stuff as Yurt but Yurt had been the better player when they were together?

I still vote moving Duncan and a 1st if needed for a Turner type

Potter is more of the prototype poor man's Kevin Love style of PF. He also looks more agile over someone like Yurtseven. Duncan for Turner sounds like a pipe dream even with the draft capital attached. Indiana will have us near last on the list of teams to deal Turner to. Will look to moving him out West unless blown away by an offer from an East Coast team.

I wonder what Turner’s value is tbh. Weren’t the Pacers willing to throw him away in a sign and trade with the C’s for Hayward? Considering the Rockets got 2 firsts for Robert Covington of all people Duncan plus a first seems like a lot of value. Assuming you believe in Duncan long term of course.

I honestly don’t know if I’d be willing to do that package for Turner.

Now on the other hand Herro + Duncan and a pick(s) for Sabonis?? Now that would be a freaking spicy front court for the next decade plus.

Yea maybe so, I just read a report they don’t care to trade to rival teams though. A lower profile guy from them I wouldn’t mind is Torrey Craig.

Dipo
Herro
Craig
Morris
Dedmon or Yurt

Bench lineup full of veteran players, I trust that way more in the playoffs.

They’ve been trying to trade Turner for years I believe so I honestly don’t know what they value him at right now.

That would be super spicy lol but I feel if we use Herro we can get someone better than Sabonis but idk. Wish Sabonis was a better shooter in that scenario though

IF we do make any moves I just hope we’re able to get some lower profile vets like throw ins, like a Craig type. Or were active in the buyout market for DJ Augustine type guys.

I’m just so tired of watching these fringe nba players eat up all these minutes.

I really don't see us getting down on any trades this year. I think most of our additions will come in the form of a healthy Oladipo and the buy out market. I think the team has really taken a liking to Caleb Martin and he has earned at very least a bench role as the backup SF. Oladipo will also take on small forward minutes. If a solid veteran gets bought out then I feel like the team will then go into the tax.

This being the case wouldn’t shock me, I’ve been impressed with martin I just need to see it more and know if it’s a sure thing or just a hot stretch. Not making a trade and being active in the buyout market may not make sense to us though. Who does the new pickup play over if not Martin?

We may just not do anything, which I disagree with but I can rock with it if we can finally get healthy

Think they’ll be looking for a veteran upgrade at backup PG. Wall and DJ Augustin to name a few.

I’ve had my eye on both, I’d love to get Wall here. I hope he just says screw it and agrees to a buyout lol

Jimmy and Herro are perfect compliments. Lowry, Bam and DRob can go. Sell high on Bam.

Or do nothing, this team healthy is good.

(just don't play against big Center/PF combo or get smacked again and again)

The move is Duncan + pick to try to upgrade the 4 position. Either Barnes, Turner or Grant. Barnes is a 100 % out of a price range but Turner and Grant might be attainable if you get a 3rd team to take Duncan and reroute a protected 1st rounder to those teams.
And I'm pretty sure we can move Duncan in Jan. Hopefully by then he can get his averages high enough to be movable.
I'm sure the Heat will shop Duncan's contract. I don't think they're deluded enough to think the team as is can win a chip if that's the goal this season

I’d love any of the 3. PJ Washington is being discussed to Indy for Turner so he may be off the table soon, we’ll see

Is he not playing because he doesn’t want to right now or is it because being vaccinated is a requirement of the state he’s in?

If he says he’d play for us I would do it in a heartbeat, proven player on the biggest stage and brings the 3 level scoring punch we’re needing. Him and Jimmy tried to team up in the past.

And you keep Herro.

Dipo, Jimmy, Bam, Kyrie, Herro is a super talented group.

Gets us out of what looks to be a bad contract. That upgrades the nets quite a bit though considering Kyrie won’t play for them. That I don’t like lol I hate the nets and their stars
