does that add up to 18 million in salary?

Dragic, Precious and 1st pick for Turner and 2nd pick.

I would if the Pacers would take it. Basically trading Lowry for Turner and swap some picks around.

This is about what I think is fair for Turner including adding a FRP in 2022 or 2023, Top 10 protected.

Want nothing to do with Levert or Sabonis.

You probably trade GTJ and Precious and some sort of pick for Turner.

Pass. Jarett Allen cost Prince and a FRP. I think its more in that range, Prince being ballast.

I think it was Exum, 1st and a 2nd for Allen and Prince. I guess cap space is also part of it.

It doesn’t need to put us over the top right away. Just get us back to being a winning team and we’ll worry about the rest from there. Keep upgrading the roster until we become contenders again.

I doubt Pacers want expiring, as they are not a FA destination. I think they want long contracts.
And I mentioned above, their new head coach is probably looking to play a run and gun game like he used to with Dallas. Some of our players would fit that, but they also have pieces in Jackson, who is similar to Achiuwa.

Just **** around with the trade machine for **** and giggles...in regards to just salaries...
Toronto trades:
Goran Dragic, Chris Boucher and Malachi Flynn

Toronto receives:
Myles Turner
Willie Caulle-Stein (expiring...just filler)

Dallas trades:
Dwight Powell, Trey Burkes, Willie Caulle-Stein, Maxi Kleber

Dallas receives:
Goran Dragic

Indiana trades:
Myles Turner

Indiana receives:
Malachi Flynn, Chris Boucher, Maxi Kleber, Trey Burkes

Are there picks that could be included that balances out the trade?

I wouldn't be surprised it could be Porzingis for Sabonis + LeVert, as they play a slow game. I don't see Dragic being involved, as his salary is too big.

Dallas isn't going to trade both maxi and Powell in the same deal, nor are they gonna trade 3 C's in one deal without getting one back.

With that said that would be the parameters minus Maxi from Dallas. The picks would come from us.

Whoops...I stand corrected...

My trade machine proposal actually only trades Dwight Powell OR Kleber+Burkes but not both. Kleber+Burkes is about equal to Powell in terms of salary. So Dallas does only trade 2 centers.

That said...point taken.

Pacers would definitely say no to this. Their incentive in even moving their guys are to go in on a rebuild so they’re likely gonna want young guys. The only young guy in this package is Flynn and let’s be real, that’s not enticing enough to give up Turner

Masai would be stupid not to look into this. Nobody wants to be a losing team for the next 3 years for a rebuild that might not even work out.

For the record...I really am not a Turner fan. Never have been.

That said...I'm just trying to find a way to get something for Dragic...to see if we can get in on this somehow.

Probably something around what Allen got. Allen is proving he was worth it. Idk if Bamba would prove the same but I’m sure some team would give it a shot

Absolute hell no to anything involving OG or picks for Turner.

Turner only makes us high end 2nd rd fodder for the foreseeable future. I'd rather give arguably the best scouting department in the league a chance to find some damn good talent that we'll groom and have locked in for the next 8+ years.

I'm surprised people think Indy wants to rebuild and then wants to trade for Siakam....

If they are rebuilding they want expirings, prospects and picks....

Like Orlando got last year for Vuc and Gordon.

They want to bottom out and get a good pick themselves.

I think our pick is actually quite valuable. I'm not sure why people think there is going to be a better package than say: Dragic, Flynn and our unprotected 1st this year.

That's a really solid package for a guy getting paid ~ $20 mil and is an average starter. Ya, Turner fits well with us, but that's why we'd trade a 1st Rd pick for him.

That's a likely lottery pick, a sophomore that is getting bumped by a better prospect (Banton), but still holds value, and a perfect salary expiring. Similiar to the Ibaka trade, but with a worse prospect and a likely better 1st.

Who can beat that package? Boston? What would they give up that's better? Their 1st will be worse than ours. They ain't giving up Tatum, Brown. Is Smart someone you want in a rebuild?

They can followup with a trade of Sabonis for Wiseman and Kuminga, and boom, instant rebuild.

I can see this happening.

You probably thought the same thing when Allen got that much then.

Bamba is still only 23 and is an even better shot blocked than Allen and can actually shoot the 3 decently enough. Plenty of room for even more development considering his age
