This is why you wait, ready to strike when your opponents are at their weakest - "chaos is ladder".

I bet you there will be at least another team or two ready to blow it up soon enough.

The best deal for Simmons was, is, and will continue to be Kyrie. You aren't going to get a better shot creator, shooter, closer in a package sub-30. And probably don't have to part with Maxey to do it either like you would for Lillard, who probably doesn't get dealt anyway.

Kyrie is a loon, but he's the best player they could potentially get and I don't think it's particularly close.

So Lilliard's ultimate goal has now been revealed. He wants a two year $100+ million extension at the age of 35-36.

With that in mind, it does make sense why the rumors say he wants to go to NYK. NYK could pay him. They might not be competitive, but they could pay him. Doubt Morey is willing to give in and give Lilliard that kind of extension.

I'm kind of out on Lilliard now. I don't know who I want, but it isn't Lillard any more.

Agreed

Blazers should be packing his bags for him if that’s his demand

The more teams that start falling apart the better. Pacers, Blazers, Sacto, Pellies and San Antonio and Minny still languishing in the standings. Creates a market which is what we need to develop.

Embiid/Sabonis/Tobias would get eviscerated on defense.

Morey's just sitting in the weeds and waiting this out. Day by day his decision to wait for the right deal keeps looking better.

Personally, I think that pairing would be so bad that they'd make the Embiid/Horford pairing look good by comparison.

Kyrie is not a basketball player.

Throw the Pacers into the mix with rumors of them heading towards a rebuild. With that said, it would still have to be a three way deal.

All of a sudden, there’s been chatter that:
- Fox is the odd man out in Sacramento.
- Dame wants to play with Simmons.
- Portland wouldn’t follow thru with McCollum and 4 firsts.
- Indiana is ready to rebuild.
- Luka would love to play with Simmons.

Sure, it’s just chatter. I get it. But there’s some smoke for sure. And everyone senses that a spark is coming from somewhere that’s going to set everything ablaze.

Who would you rather have?

Porzingis and picks

or

McCollum and picks

For Simmons I assume?
CJ would be my choice based off of fit/durability and time frame with Embiid. On top of that, he went to Lehigh U. He's a great fit with us. Also, whenever he has stepped out of Dames shadow he has played very well. I know his contract is insane, but he'd be a nice addition to our team aside from that. KP I like, but that guy gets hurt at the worst times. Can you imagine him, Tobias, and Embiid playing together at the same time? Awful! Adding KP would create an immediate need to trade Harris. We already went down this road with Al Horford who is actually a better defender than KP and was supposed to be able to stretch the floor but couldn't for us. My vote would be CJ all day.

My initial thought is that Portland unprotected picks could have extremely high upside.

Porzingis mainly because of age. He's 26. McCollum is on the wrong side of 30.

However of the rumored teams that might have a sale - Sacto, Indiana, New Orleans, Minny...- I guess I like the trio of Fox, Ingram and Brogdon in no particular order and not straight up. There'd have to be additions.

Philly in: Anthony Edwards, Malik Beasley, Taruean Prince.
Philly out: Ben Simmons, Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry.

Also an option to include a 2nd round pick for Paul Reed.

Why you guys do this. Ant, Harris, Embiid could be lethal together. Ant is a superstar in the making and his defense is strong this season. Also Ant can run your offense, and your going to want him on ball. Beasley is a downgrade from Curry, but his shot is improving as the season goes on and before long he may return to his former glory. Prince is an expiring.

Wolves get PG depth they badly need, Simmons is another big which we badly need, and Curry is an upgrade to Beasley and provides the shooting we badly need.
