Yeah I can't understand anyone acting like Nesmith and Pritchard are having bad seasons or took a step back because they're not consistently hitting shots in limited sporadic/unpredictable intervals.
Was Jayson Tatum shooting well 150 minutes into the season? How about Beal, Lillard, Luka etc.?
Both Nesmith and Pritchard, as younger players, need to get some sort of consistent run to hit their groove, as we saw last season. When you have a tiny sample size in combination with inconsistent minutes, you just can't expect these kids to have their feet under them.

Everyone except Tatum and Rob should be embarrassed.
If they played regular minutes and the sample size wasn't come in late in games or Not even play, I would agree. If anyone on this site ever play any reasonable ball, they would understand this.
Yeah, not playing PP and Nesmith really hurt their confidence after a promising rookie year for both of them.
Now there's just too much pressure for them to produce in such limited time.
I get what you're saying.
It's way more than just "pressure" who the hell can come in cold, with no rhythm, and hit shots?? Shet we have a whole group of players starting or playing early and often and they are NOT hitting shots. Now imagine being young, cold, play sporadically at best, and then hit shots?
and then even worse is some "people" use stats as in all opportunity and shooting situations are equal.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Smart was the reason why we lost in the first 4 minutes of the 3rd quarter. We went from down 5 to down 15 because of Smart's bricks, bad shots and turnovers in that stretch.
Smart and Horford hurt us tonight. Along with Ime.
Wasn’t so much a statement about Smart, more that Ime was pulling the starters with 5+ minutes left. Yeah the game was likely over, but that’s a lot of time, and Tatum was cooking in the 4th.
Just didn’t sit right with me.
I agree on Tatum. He should have been in the game. Smart and Horford just didn't have it and should have been out.
Ime gave up too early for sure. But he coached a bad 2nd half overall.

A certain player (I'll call player X) who was drafted as a shooter, played only 27 games his rookie year at 16 min per.. shot only 31 % for the year from 3.. This team gave up on him immediately. Player X was picked up by another team. That team threw him in the lineup right away, let him play 30 min per.. that player went on to shoot 41% (from 3) in only his second year.. Player X is now a staple in this league, on of the best shooters and a multiple Allstar..
point being pretty simple, one team's analysis or scouting of a player was so bad they barely gave him a chance, then got rid of him after only a single season..
If it were up to stats, someone would have proclaimed this player as a Non shooter.. (31%) thank god that some people can actually scout, use vision, and actually Build up a player, vs "scrub" him.. I wonder how many other players never got the chance again that this one got..
I'll leave it to the Stat people to figure out who this is..
