Don't look now but Cs are 7th in net rating. The six teams above them have clearly been better and are all top 10 in both offensive and defensive rating.

I just rewatched video of the last play against Philly.

-- Al's defense was tremendous.
-- Rob's final block was tremendous. Also, he did two other things well on the other side of the court before disappearing from the camera's view and eventually hustling over to make that play.
-- Jaylen's effort to deny an entry pass to Embiid was tremendous.
-- Jayson was tall, long, and in the right places at the right time.
-- Marcus was out of the picture to the lower left.

My guess: Smart was in Curry's jersey, taking him out of the play and making that last possession a 4-on-4.

I think we're going to finish the season in 4th place. Maybe 3rd. Nets, Bucks, Bulls, Celtics. We're in 6th at the moment but the Wiz and Heat are fading.

Maybe, But I will keep re-asserting the notion that this team has enough Talent to do better.

Will they?? Million dollar question.. we need a major influx of shooters (and we have them) Tatum to continue to re-ascend. J Brown to get healthy and with the "program" and a few other things...

But I am a believer that the Possibility is more realistic than many on here perhaps..
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

trade market starting to take a little shape. Looks like Indy & Portland are open for business for starters. Washington has fallen back down to earth. Knew that was going to happen.

"I think the next step for us is even feeding off each other more in a game," Tatum said. "But JB is -- from where he started in his first year and what they tried to label him as 'he couldn't shoot' or whatever -- he shot 40% from three (last season) and made his first All-Star Game. I couldn't have been happier for him.

"Me and him just kind of took the same approach of, I'm getting better and he's getting better. We're not just staying the same. So, we're two of the hungriest players in the league. We're still trying to get there."

No sign of getting off, eh?

Here are the best duos in the league age 25 or under:
1) Celtics (tatum, brown)
2) Suns (Booker, ayton)
3) Hawks (young, Collins)
4) Pelicans (zion, ingram)
5) Grizzlies (Morant, Jackson Jr)
6) Hornets (lamelo, bridges)
7) Nuggets (Murray, Porter jr)
8) rockets (green, porter Jr)

Here are the best trios in the league age 25 or under:
1) Celtics (tatum, brown, time lord)
2) Suns (booker, ayton, bridges)
3) Hawks (young, collins, Huerter)
4) Pelicans (zion, ingram, alexander-walker)
5) Grizzlies (morant, jackson Jr, bane)
6) Hornets (lamelo, bridges, washington)
7) Nuggets (Murray, porter Jr, hyland)
8) Rockets (Green, porter Jr, Sengun)

Not only do we have the best young duo and trio in the league, but our guys have also been playing together much longer than the guys listed above on these other teams - so we've had more time building up chemistry and going to war together in tough playoff games.

Bottom line? There's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Except for the Suns, none of the teams you list are going anywhere. You mean we are better than the Rockets and the Pelicans? Let's rejoice!

Nice listings. I like this.
Celtics are doing well, in the young duo/trio lineup.

We just need some consistent play, with the 3 of them. Which hasn't happened too much, this Season.

Kind of what I've been saying since Day 1. Celtics fans are impatient.

Ok so based on that, we have quite a few Suns vs Celtics matchups to look forward to in the NBA finals in the coming years :)

Yes - our training/medical staff's no. 1 priority should be keeping Jaylen and Rob healthy.

Claims:
-- Rob tore the Lakers apart rolling to the rim in the first half of the game.
-- A defensive adjustment shut that down in the second half.
-- The adjustment boiled down to going under screens rather than over them.

However:
-- This adjustment was not going under the screens set by Rob himself.
-- Rather, it was going under a screen by a guard that was a prequel to a second screen set by Rob.

Here's what your article said:

We're not talking about some insanely complex, high basketball IQ adjustment either. Vogel simply instructed his perimeter players to go under on screens from Marcus Smart and Dennis Schroder. That's the problem with having three guards who don't command respect from three. Teams will happily sag off them if a defensive scheme calls for it.
