Re: Game 25: Utah at Minnesota, 7 p.m.
Why are we still trying to shoot 3's?
Seems to me if we take a few less and go for two pointers, that could add up to a few more points, equals the difference between losing by 2-5 points.
Rossas is gone, why are we still running the Houston process?

Because they are guarding the paint and forcing the issue. It is much easier to defend the interior and leave open shooters on the permitter than via versa. Our issue is we are built for making them, and are missing them way too often. Ant, Dlo, Beasley, Reid, MCD, Prince, and Beverly are all supposed to be average or better from deep. The reason we are 11/13 instead of 13/11 or better is that they aren’t better than average or in most cases even close to average.

Wasn't Finch (when he coached Houston's G League team) a big part of creating the Houston system?

Shooting 3-pointers is hardly just a Houston thing.
As BJM added, Finch had/has a say in the offense since his hire. It's not just a Rosas thing.

Why? Because these are good shooters who are currently shooting below their standards. This isn't who they are. They need to keep shooting to get out of their funk.
Beasley .391 career (-.056)
Beverley .382 career (-.043)
Prince .370 career (-.091)
Russell .360 career (-.037)

We are in a bit of a danger zone. 3 game skid is not something you want to have a lot of. We need to stay in the .500 or better range. Being more than 3 games back makes things difficult. If we are within a couple games of .500 by the end of the month I think we are in a solid positon but being 5-8+ games back is hard hole to get out of.

KAT needs to shoot more 3's...I would rather KAT shoot a 3 over any other kind of shot attempt from any other Wolves player...it's becoming maddening why KAT is turning down opportunuties to shoot more 3's. It would make sense maybe if his teammates are good 3 point shooters but that's not the case here when we have so many below par 3 pt shooters

Pat Bev with 3 floaters over Rudy’s drop coverage defense.
KAT is frustrated he only got one shot attempt and got a offensice charge on it.

Edwards has seems to have plateaued since the Heat game. He hasn't really blown up much, maybe he has hit a bit of a wall.

Is Pat Bev injured again? Not sure why Finch doesn't have any of Ant, KAT, Pat Bev on floor now

Would be great if players on the team play knew what their limitations are...so many of these turnovers are so avoidable

Jazz looking like another team that will be red hot from three.

unless Bev is on some minutes restriction, him being on the bench now doesn't make much sense

The paint looks so crowded whenever Ant is driving to the rim
